Historia
It is 1244 and the Castle of Montsegur is under siege. Trapped in the small fortress perched high in the Pyrenees, Cathars and their supporters fight to avoid death on the pyre at the hands of the Catholic Church. Amidst the carnage and mayhem of war, a woman mysteriously appears to Cathar Perfect, Bertrand Marty; a woman with a tale to tell. Two worlds collide, Judea and France, as she unfolds a story of shattering proportions, revealing secrets, both dangerous and devastating, which have been hidden for centuries in the annals of a Fifth gospel.

What a journey!
Revisado: 07-03-17
This novel is set to be a classic and this narration really does it justice.
I have to admit I have never listened to anything like it and I don't expect I will do so again. It will live with me forever. It is a book to kindle a fire in the heart, but it also makes you think.
The narration is so sensitive and seamless you forget you are listening and you begin to live it! Inspiring, uplifting - an awakening!

A Great Whodunnit!
Revisado: 07-01-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, because this book is so well written and so beautifully narrated.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Temple of the Grail?
I loved all of it, but if I must choose some moments I would say that the conversations between Christian and Andre are priceless. The mystery at the heart of the book was completely unexpected and satisfying.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favourite scene comes at the end with Christian and Andre, it was very moving.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Sherlock Holmes meets Thomas Aquinas in this smouldering tale of religious fervour, greed and murder!
Any additional comments?
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a compelling intelligent murder mystery, history buffs and those who love good writing and excellent narration. Matthew Lloyd Davies brilliantly captures Adriana Koulias' prose. This book is a must!

A Great Work of Historical Fiction
Revisado: 07-01-16
Would you consider the audio edition of The Seal to be better than the print version?
I think both are important. There is a lot in The Seal and the ebook is perfect for going over things again.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Etienne de Congest and Jacques de Molay. I also thought Phillip the Fair was remarkable
What about James Gillies’s performance did you like?
He is a consummate narrator. His characterisations are superb and they are perfect for this novel given its beautiful language.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I couldn't stop listening to it.
Any additional comments?
I Highly recommend this book both for a story which is so beautifully told and for an impeccable narration. I will listen to the first book now, though I believe there is no problem there as the books are not sequential.
