Historia
Picking up where he left off in his electrifying Letter to the American Church, Eric Metaxas renews and deepens his call to believers not to “practice” their faith but to live it—heroically and with joy. Invoking famous but misunderstood words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, he shows that God’s answer to evil is “religionless Christianity”—the rejection of religiosity and the embrace of a living and active faith, one that consumes the whole person and affects every aspect of his life. The awakening of this faith will bring revival, a “new birth of freedom,” and a renaissance of Christian culture.

It is a great book!

It really brings out the need for Christians to be bold and not complacent. Sharing and standing up for our faith is important.

Historia
With passion and purpose, Greg Laurie and Ellen Vaughn tell the amazing true story of the Jesus Movement, an extraordinary time of mass revival, renewal, and reconciliation. Setting fascinating personal stories within the context of one of the most tumultuous times in modern history, the authors draw important parallels with our own time of spiritual apathy or outright hostility, offering hope for the next generation of unlikely believers - and for the next great American revival.

Amazing story

I love Greg’s story and how he emphasizes Jesus and the Word. The narrator was okay, but I would have loved to hear Greg read it.

Great as usual
Revisado: 02-16-23
I love Gregg Hurwitz’s writing style and he really brings the characters to life. It’s so fun to watch Evan try to navigate through his social awkwardness and how his relationships with other people are growing and changing as well. Scott Brick is one of the best narrators on the planet and he does a fantastic job bring Evan and company to life.

Of course, in 1934 the United States was in the throes of the Great Depression, and Dr. Zho experiences a very different America. On Dagan, the Dictator Arixn is using a modified version of the Roman Coliseum to divert the citizens' attention. Running low on gladiators, Arixn decides to send a force to “harvest Earthlings” to fight to the death on Dagan. Zho elicits the help of old friend Major Mike Kelly to stop the Harvesters.

A Great Second Installment
Revisado: 12-16-22
This second story, also a good listen, continues with some of the characters from the first book and introduces us to some very interesting new characters. Detective King is one to look out for. I am looking forward to the third installment next year.

Revisado: 12-15-22
This was a great story incorporating my husband’s hometown. It was fun listening to a book with places I have actually visited and I am familiar with the area. It gives the story a personal meaning to me. I encourage everyone to give it a listen.

Historia
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.
