The Story is fascinating. Knowing that stealing children and then adopting them out to rich people is horrifying. I couldn't continue with anything else until I had finished this. It is excellently written. My only complaint was that the story was told at a faster speed than was comfortable for my elderly mind could follow easily. I am writing this,; and then going to start another story about some of the other children that were stolen from their parents.

Wonderful book from Michelle Kidd, I look forward to reading or listening to other books from her. I was captivated from the first chapter and couldn't put it down. There was two stories going on at the same time. Michelle Kidd ties them together in the last chapter of this book. Just when you think danger has passed, it pops up again and catches you unaware. I became the young woman in the story. It was me that was held hostage, It was me that fought for my freedom whether it be in my own time or the future. If I bite my nails, I would be chewing on my fingers by the time the book ends.

I was fascinated and enjoyed this story from the very first chapter. I will definitely look for more of Frank Delaney's books. I have an extensive ancestry in Ireland. And enjoyed hearing the stories in this book.

I kept waiting for Kate to find and live the love she deserved. I was disappointed that the author let Hugh get away with rape, and then even more disappointed that Kate still married him instead of his brother Guy who everyone knew of their love and his brother's deceptiveness. None of that seemed true to life. I did enjoy the story of Quinn in the present time. Finding she has a twin gives us excitement to look forward to in the next novels. The birth of their baby, and the happy family reunion was well written.

I was captured with the story from the very first chapter. The story of "The Lovers" Echoes From The Past is tender and suspenseful story chapter by chapter. I especially enjoyed the additional story in modern day of the archeologists who discovered what had happened to the two skeletal remains found in a large chiasm beneath the ground chained in a trunk at least four hundred years ago. Two skeletal remains embraced in one last kiss before they died. Only to find out by the archeologist that there is another surprising find buried within. Irena Shapiro has a rare gift to tell two stories at the same time of the past long forgotten and the present as their stories are discovered. Those in present day caught up in their own suspenseful love triangle as they discover the past and their own places in the present time. Unlike most other novelist, Irena Shapiro leaves you hanging by a thread as she takes you from the past to the future and back again without disappointment, yet eager to find out what is going on in another time to people you have already became attached to. Wendy Wolfson narrates this story with a soft gentle voice that expresses suspense, despair, passion, and undying love. Her voice is pleasing to listen to and yet captures one spellbound as she unweaves this suspenseful story. I look forward to reading and listening to more books by Irina Shapiro and hopefully Wendy Wolfson will be narrating more of Irina Shapiro's books. Marilyn from Washington
