Historia
Twelve years ago Matthew "the Rocket" Rising had it all. Married to his high school sweetheart and one of the winningest quarterbacks in the history of college football, he was the number one NFL draft pick. But on the night of the draft, he plummeted from the pinnacle of esteem. Falsely accused of a heinous crime with irrefutable evidence, it seemed in an instant all was lost—his reputation, his career, his freedom, and most devastatingly, the love of his life.

Historia
Private Matthew Petticrew arrives in France as part of the American Expeditionary Forces, an arrival that a war-weary France desperately hopes will help to end the turmoil. Having faced unthinkable things on the front, he is captivated by the sound of a lullaby, sung by a voice so pure he knows he must have imagined it. But rumors sweep through the trenches like wildfire, dubbing the voice "The Angel of Argonne", a mysterious presence who leaves behind wreaths on unmarked graves and footprints in the war-pocked soil.

Another wonderful book by Lynn
Revisado: 04-22-22
I'm yet to read a book by Lynn that I dont like. Her stories are ordinary and yet extraordinary. I love how she celebrates women. Weaknesses and strengths (and or so much strength when characters see themselves through the eyes of God). And always, I appreciate the historical learning from each book. And off course the clarity of God's love at work in people's lives.

Revisado: 03-19-22
WOW, WOW... and another WOW! I'm a fan of Ronie Kendig's high action and drama books. And this book is AMAZING. I read the ebook months back and happened to be looking for an audiobook. When I heard Adam Gold's voice, I knew I wanted to hear the story in narration form. WOW! His voice is amazing and he captures the life and drama of this book so well. Now I really can't wait for book 3.
And things have definitely ramped up. Ronie you are a genius!

This was an interesting enough plot, but not one of my favorite by Lori. I think I would have enjoyed the story more but the narration didnt do it for me. The highlight was the friendship between Two Hawks and Bear's Heart, it was sweet.

Historia
Ian Cameron, a Boston cabinetmaker turned frontier trapper, has come to Mountain Laurel hoping to remake himself yet again - into his planter uncle’s heir. No matter how uneasily the role of slave owner rests upon his shoulders. Then he meets Seona - beautiful, artistic, and enslaved to his kin. Seona has a secret: She’s been drawing for years, ever since that day she picked up a broken slate to sketch a portrait. When Ian catches her at it, he offers her opportunity to let her talent flourish, still secretly, in his cabinetmaking shop.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and all the historical background. My only qualm is that Silas featured entirely too little for my preference. I wanted more of Silas and Violet. And the humor... and the sisters and the beauty of their eccentricities were just perfect!

Historia
Munich, 1938. Evelyn Brand is an American foreign correspondent as determined to prove her worth in a male-dominated profession as she is to expose the growing tyranny in Nazi Germany. To do so, she must walk a thin line. If she offends the government, she could be expelled from the country - or worse. If she fails to truthfully report on major stories, she'll never be able to give a voice to the oppressed - and wake up the folks back home.

I enjoyed everything about this novel. Evelyn is a wonderful heroine - not perfect, but yet strong, confident and compassionate. And dear Peter was equal to her. He walks his own journey and comes out even better in the end.
