If you like history and science fiction this book is for you!

Two of my favorite genres are history and science fiction. I have never read a book that combined those two genres in such a clever way.
I had never even heard of Potosi. but the stories about Cerro Rico (the rich mountain) reminded me so much of California's Gold Rush time a few hundred years before. When I felt I was getting enough of a history lesson the author takes you on a modern-day story that turned out to have intrigue and adventure to take me on a whole nother Journey while still making the history lesson relevant. It got me thinking about how cool it would be if it was real. This book was an easy and enjoyable read and I was so pleased to find out there are two additional books by the same author that I have already purchased and downloaded. I can't wait to listen to them! another thing that I had not experienced before is the author devoted a chapter at the end to explaining everything in the story that was fact and fiction. I love it when I can learn something and be entertained all at the same time.

Edge of my seat, so entertaining...

I love this genre of time travel and this book knocked it out of the park! I loved the detail but it was not overdone. The concepts were so well thought out and the story was written masterfully. I listen to this when I drive and many times found myself sitting in the driveway in the car not wanting it to end. the narrator is an unbelievable Talent I was very impressed! My only question is when is the movie?
