God the narrator is painful to listen to

I might have to try to read the books instead of listen to them. Maybe they would be better? I don’t even know at this point- can’t tell if the writing is cheesy or it’s the narration making it sound awful? Narrator really should just stick with a British accent for all the characters, because her American accent is painful. Like….. my brain hurts from it (and I’m not someone that is overly critical about accents). The male characters are even worse. 6 hrs left and I just couldn’t do it anymore.

Good narrator, good story, annoying FMC

Diem is the epitome of annoying. If there is a dumb decision to make, she makes it.

All the other characters are great, the world building is great, but god this is becoming almost a DNF because of how frustrating and stupid Diem is.

I get tired of this trope of dumb female characters - it’s completely fine if they screw up, but make the mess ups make sense. You can’t simultaneously have a character that has no ability to trust anyone………except for people who are clearly showing her not to trust them.

I love anything Amelia writes, but this series is just perfection. Characters are beautifully written, the world building is fabulous, every book gets better and better. Plus aria is probably the best badass character ever written lol.

I LOVE this series!!!!

It’s hilarious how many people get mad because it’s graphic, disturbing, etc etc…….when the author makes it VERY clear in the beginning that that is exactly what this book will be.

The first book is very much just mainly a sex book, a hot hilarious one, but by the second you suddenly have this amazing world building going on as well. The characters are funny, infuriating, smart. Great writing.

Narrator is terrible.

Narration is so bad that I couldn’t make it through 15 min, so I have no clue if the story is good or not.

She sounds like a robot that had a stroke. Every word is the exact same tone expect when she puts odd emphasis on words that shouldn’t be emphasized. It’s mind numbing. I have no clue how she has this as her job.

Female narrator is awful.

I mean awful. She sounded like a robot - actually- no robot would sound as annoying as she did. Ever single sentence was pronounced the exact same way with the ending almost like a question. Drove me mad. The male narrator was good, but the audiobook as a whole is awful because of her.

I couldn’t get used to it and ended up downloading the book. They really need to replace her part, it’s truly terrible.
