Very much out of date

Great book, I will likely read again!
Revisado: 02-18-22
Bad: It’s a bit dated in some cases. This was written before the age of social media. Some of the ideas may be quaint, slow, expensive or odd compared to modern marketing. In some cases though these methods might get you noticed, like sending hand written cards.
Good: Very solid information. Great ideas, many I have never read or heard elsewhere. I would recommend. Well written. 5 stars! I marked it to read again in a year or two, which I do with the most valuable books I read

I cannot listen anymore
Revisado: 02-01-22
I think Ace paid for this book to be written, just a guess. It seems like every sentence has Ace in it. I’m in the third chapter and he has repeated everything several times. Lots of words but No substance!

Historia
Unlike most retirement planning and lifestyle books that focus on investing - or at the other end of the spectrum, on how to get the senior discount on a Grand Slam Breakfast at Denny's - this new book from Jeff Yeager, America's favorite cheapskate, makes the compelling case that you can have a joyous, worry-free retirement by merely spending smart and focusing on what you truly want and expect out of retirement.

I wasted my time reading this so you don’t have to!!
Revisado: 11-13-21
Please do not read this book it’s full of anecdotal stories and really terrible ideas on how to save money. Advice is along the lines of (this is not in the book , but similar type thinking is) save money on paper towels and napkins by taking a handful at restaurants. Actual advice is to really bad ideas about how to make money , be a DJ, make wedding cakes… Save money on admission by volunteering at a film festival.
No solid advice about investing or increasing your income. Which are the two of the best ways to save for retirement.
The only good and very obvious advice is to spend less than you earn. What to do with that money (invest) is not really discussed and some advice is terrible.
The author does not understand “smart debt.” Why would I pay off a 3% Home loan early when I could invest that money in a stock market index fund and gain on average 10% a year? Do the math, 10 is more than 3.
