Historia
Coexisting but conflicting needs create self-sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change, often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies, releasing past experiences at a cellular level, and learning to act as our highest potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential.

Everyday wisdom with much more clarity
Revisado: 03-09-24
Book doesn’t bring you something that you have never heard of. But it presents the things you probably know already in a much more convincing and elaborated manner. Makes you feel good to keep listening.

If you are reading this book in your 30s probably it will avoid you couple of regretful mistakes making in the years to come. Content of the book is great, the way it has been presented, the line up could have made more clearer. Then again why care too much, we all die, and imperfect books are perfectly fine 😄

Very thought provoking book that let you reflect more on yourself. It’s not a self help book but more of a philosophy book. Good narration, easy to listen and the content is pure gold.

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

Book gives a clear insight about who considered to be outliers in the society and what made them to be one. The more appropriate tittle for this book could have been Outliers stripped bare.
