I love sapphic stories and this one is one of the best sub/dom I've read in recent times. Now what I really want to discuss is how stories of fey are like twisted mirrors to me. This one tries and as the others the distortions are enough to bring joy while twisting the cold iron in my blood for daring to reminisce on days of blood and gilded chains.

Complex Characters

it's always fascinating when a character acts in a way that fits their character but doesn't perfectly solve their solutions. Or they overlook an opportunity bc of lack of knowledge. Biomancy is a powerful school of magic, for healing, monster making, and poisoning + plaguing.

Impulsive MC, great story.

A gritty survival LitRPG. The protagonist is incredibly impulsive. The progression is decently balanced w the story. I can't believe she chose dps over recovery. Recovery can save you from nearly anything but she chose power. That bodes ill for the next book but it'll be such a journey.

Grabs by the heart

The main cast is a bunch of very vibrant characters. The villain is bad in a believable way however many of the harsher realities are not invoked which I was thankful for. I would however say that the disability and wish fulfillment with the voice and later eyes could be seen as problematic. Though it does add to the emotional rollercoaster that is this book in a very interesting and dramatic way.
The romantic interests and relationships are all fast paced and don't go into any of the truly gooey details. It's important to realize that none of the characters are actually perfect. None fit as a true paragon of virtue or anything like it. It's just a bunch of flawed fictional people navigating a seriously messed up situation to the best of their monkey brains abilities. There is always a better choice that couldve been made but in the end this story grabbed me by the heart and made me care about it's world, characters, and conflicts. If only for a little while.

Grasshopper go Brrrrr

Love it. Lesbians, capitalist cyberpunks, aliens, and most of all the neurodivergent killing machine known as Grasshopper. She sets off all the right connections in my brain to scream fey, friend, and exciting learning.

Amazing, emotional, and I still don't want to stop reading even though the pages have end and infinite possibility awaits the characters.
Complex characters with rich interpersonal worlds and several ditzy moments have warmed my heart. I strongly suggest reading the entire series, at least twice.

i despise gods on a personal level. However, I find stories like this comforting. The dungeon core genre has been fast growing and I am here for it. I only wish to create worlds for myself.

I loved it, needs a relationship conclusion

Everything from neurodivergent protagonist to the aliens, conflict, romance, and bioengineering better bodies. I love how awkward and relatable the protagonist was.

The thing I want to comment on is... we need more lesbian romance. We don't necessarily NEED s*x scenes. We definitely need a good reunion, if there is a next book. I would love to see their romance continue.

The dream sequence memories.... seems like an interesting way to split the narrative. It ups the mystery, intrigue, and overall enjoyment of both plot lines. Survival combat, is thrilling. Conflict is explicitly unwanted by the main character but still happens in an interesting way when we get details.
