Historia
July 25, 2234: The crew of the Adamura discovers the Anomaly. On the seemingly uninhabited planet Talos VII:a circular pit, 50 kilometers wide. Its curve not of nature, but design. Now, a small team must land and journey on foot across the surface to learn who built the hole and why. But they all carry the burdens of lives carved out on disparate colonies in the cruel cold of space. For some the mission is the dream of the lifetime, for others a risk not worth taking, and for one it is a desperate attempt to find meaning in an uncaring universe.

Not a sequel - meh
Revisado: 03-27-24
Was this an attemp to create an existentialism work like No Exit? Perhaps. Overall, the plodding plot to create suspense didn't really hit because of the strange religious pivots. Perhaps if it was bettter constructed like Brothers Karamavoz, it could have been a bit more profound, but none of the characters are likeable. Worse thing, the author didn't even try to expand the universe he created in Sleep, so this book should even be in the same catalog. I was hoping there would be some tie into Sleep, but alas, nothing. As always, the narrator was fantastic.

Historia
A shape-shifting trickster on a quest for eternal life, Monkey King is one of the most memorable superheroes in world literature. High-spirited and omni-talented, he amasses dazzling weapons and skills on his journey to immortality: a gold-hooped staff that can grow as tall as the sky and shrink to the size of a needle; the ability to travel 108,000 miles in a single somersault. A master of subterfuge, he can transform himself into whomever or whatever he chooses and turn each of his body's 84,000 hairs into an army of clones.

DragonBall Z and ABC
Revisado: 07-07-23
Really enjoyed this! The foreward is very good, the introduction is very educational, and the story has the base plots for several current series (American Born Chinese and DragonBall) and some classics. It is a fun story, well paced, with a good plot.

Definitely my favorite fantasy series! Glad I listened to street rats first. I might go back and restart this series again. Looking forward to the next book!

Story romancing psychopaths
Revisado: 08-24-22
Really a terrible book with terrible, unsympathetic characters. It's hard to carew about the characters who are morally bankrupt.

Lying northeast of Massachusetts, just south of Hell, Arkham County is somewhere you find yourself, not somewhere you ever mean to go. Once you do find it though, you'd better get used to living there, as you may be there for however long you have left to live.

Volume changes, annoying discord
Revisado: 04-23-22
The overall story and performance was okay. I liked Cold Case or Treasure Island better for the radio style performance. The most annoying part of the book was the volume changes / whispering, followed by loud screeching / discordant noises that was a cacophony of a mess. I would turn up the volume to hear the actors, and then get a headache from the screeching.

Last Samurai? Hope not
Revisado: 11-09-21
overall enjoyable story that moves at a good pace. I like how they intermix Japanese into the narrative so that you can pick up a few phrases here and there.
the characters are generally likable, I just hope that this doesn't try to set up a storyline where Japan needs a white savior akin to The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise.

Historia
As a doctor, I walk a dangerously delicate balance of being compassionate but not overly invested. The same is true in my personal life - love is a luxury I can’t afford. It isn’t until Dr. Westin Grant breaks down all my walls and offers me a future, I find myself wondering if I’m brave enough to risk my heart. When who I was and who I’ve tried to become collide during my clinical trial, the fate of one patient changes everything.

Hate this book
Revisado: 07-19-21
I really struggle to listen to this book. The protagonist is a martyr complex person. I had to fast forward the story several times because I was getting annoyed by the dialogue.
