Historia
From Paul Ham, winner of the NSW Premier's Prize for Australian History, comes the story of ordinary men in the grip of a political and military power struggle that determined their fate and has foreshadowed the destiny of the world for a century. Passchendaele epitomises everything that was most terrible about the Western Front. The photographs never sleep of this four-month battle, fought from July to November 1917, the worst year of the war.

Well told, but with a blind spot.

At the end of the battle of the Marne and the First Battle of Ypres in 1914, the German occupied territory of France included 64% of France’s pig iron production, 24% of its steel manufacturing and 40% of its coal industry. This seriously affected France’s industrial capabilities. But it also seriously affected the ability of the Entente to negotiate a peace treaty before November 1918. Germany did not want to give it back and the Entente Powers were not in a position to force its return.

Historia
It is 1810, and in Napoleon's determination to conquer Portugal, and push the British back to the sea, he sends his largest army yet across the Spanish frontier. But between the Portuguese border and Napoleon's seemingly certain victory are two obstacles; a wasted land, stripped of food by Wellington's orders, and Captain Richard Sharpe.

Historia
Two o'clock was missing. In an alternate Victorian world controlled by clock towers, a damaged clock can fracture time - and a destroyed one can stop it completely. It's a truth that 17-year-old clock mechanic Danny Hart knows all too well; his father has been trapped in a Stopped town east of London for three years. Though Danny is a prodigy who can repair not only clockwork but the very fabric of time, his fixation with staging a rescue is quickly becoming a concern to his superiors.

Interesting premise; dull main character
Revisado: 03-22-18
Premise was good. Lead character was dumb and naive as a stump. He kept stopping in the middle of a crisis to make dumb statements. I just got tired of it.
