Irreverent & witty... yet charming - well worth it

The story starts slow, but not plodding - character development takes it own sweet time. When the pace picks up & the story flows nicely. The twists are unpredictable, sometimes unexpected, irreverent, but always enjoyable.
The narration is outstanding, and augments the story beautifully.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, & even let my 3rd graders listen with me for segments in the car - they laughed more than they had questions. I look forward to continuing this adventure (and hope it continues soon).
