Loving unconditionally
Revisado: 08-15-24
I needed the reminder. Thank you. I am trying to be better at loving but I’ve not always succeeded. My spiritual experience was nowhere near an NDE but it had made me listen to them without my typical skepticism, so I take in the lessons. I’m grateful for the share.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Relatable
Revisado: 05-14-24
I was not a child star but we, many of us, had manipulative mothers. They were created by many things including their own mothers. I’ve learned to pity mine and continually strive to forgive her as she is still here.

Was really looking forward to this but it fell flat for me. Not sure if reading the physical pages would help.

Well written. Keeps you interested. Love the historical fiction and educational aspect. Much needed currently. The characters are people I feel are now my friends and family in Christ.
