Good story, not what i expected, surprised the heroine was older (45ish) but it worked, but it should be noted that the mature themes refer to graphic violence rather than sex. SPOILER: there's only one brief sex scene and it's in the last chapter. This story is more about the relationship's development and dealing with grief. Still awesome though. It captures the authentic emotions someone would feel if actually abducted. You should read it, dude!

Waited so long for the third to be released, couldn't find that info anywhere, pleasantly surprised when it showed up on my "next book in series you read" notification. An Amazon preorder page, Goodreads, Audible, or website post would be greatly appreciated for future books.

Narrator, as always, was good, but the book itself doesn't match previous ones in caliber. So far, I'd say Hunted is the weakest link in The Dark in You series, but still decent.

Great series, great narrators

I've already read the trilogy a few times, so I'm just gonna focus on narration. As an Audible junkie, I was skeptical since I've never heard these narrators, but both did well. Rayne's excessive growly quality might annoy you for a chapter or five, but then it'll click into place and you'll realize it's perfect. Miller sounds exactly how I imagined Ivy would; she was wonderful.

I actually finished the book so I can't give it one star--though I kind of wish I could. I wasn't impressed and bored more often than not. It's too bad, it seemed like a solid premise. I'm not going to bother finishing the series. Total waste.

the narrator is supposed to be from Jerusalem...

I really enjoyed the first book and I did enjoy the second book but I will say there is a huge flaw with this particular book. Not once did I ever feel that Miriam was a woman from New Palestine or Jerusalem. The entire time, the narrator sounded like an American. It felt so inauthentic to me the entire time I was reading this book. The Story itself was good but it was so hard to get past the fact that everything felt so inauthentic. I hope the author takes that into account and fixes this issue for the rest of the series. Otherwise, I don't know if I could actually read them.

the narrator himself was technically good but the way he read this particular story was a bad match. the intonations were totally off for the characters. It could also be that the book itself wasn't as good as it could have been. It had a lot of potential but fell very very flat. I wanted to like it but I didn't really...

Gilbert is eloquent and has a good speaking voice but...this'll sound weird but more often than not, she emotes too much. rushing lines, gasping, panicked speech, I don't know, it made me like the pov character less. She comes off as more of a bitch than when you just read the story. it also left me more agitated. if she could just pull back on the melodrama, I think she's be great.

I wasn't fond of this narrator at all. Her flow/pauses are weird, the male voice is weird, and the speech patterns are just wrong for this story. imagine if twilight's Bella and shatner had a baby. very stilted. very. stilted.....
