Fresh spin on an original

Nice spooky season read with some original content and a steamy new twist. Katrina is the character you love to hate but she is more frustrating in this retelling and the horseman is a twist. The story is fresh with some steam, HEA, and a little gore. Overall really good.

Just when you think you know, you don’t

A must read for fantasy lovers or those just dipping their toes into it. I can’t believe I waited so long to read it. The story line is not the typical and that was refreshing.

Slow burn and then an explosion !

The story line is different, the saint and the sinner, a stripper and a burdened holy man. But trust me stick around for the story to blossom, you will not be disappointed. I am glad although the climax was again at the very end that the story came to an end with more explanation. It’s a bit twisted so if the reader is triggered by evil and sweet mixture then this may not be the book for you. But for the readers who are open to a unique experience it’s a good read.

Angst and a plot twist

Watching the attitude of both parties is refreshing. It’s not a damsel vs super angry villain like the typical stories. As much as the reader wants to hate Julian, you kinda like him despite everything and Yasmin definitely comes into her own along the way more and more. It’s kinda slow but it is worth it in the end to watch the story come together. I would have liked the climax to not be so close to the end but that’s just my opinion.

Unexpected and so great

Funny, sweet, and unexpected. The story takes you on a ride through friendship and trying to keep yourself safe. But safe isn’t always what’s best. Lizzie is such a great character, hilariously clumsy. Not your typical overly romantic romantic comedy. It’s just right.

I loves the storyline, the performance of the narrator, and everything in between. I couldn’t put it down, then hated that it ended. Definitely not what I expected in the best way. If you like adventure, tension, and an individual’s journey to understanding themselves. This is a must read! I think even if this is outside the genre you usually read, read this anyway. You will not be disappointed.
