Historia
Just as Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations did for the world of food, Dopeworld is an intoxicating journey into the world of drugs. From the cocaine farms in South America to the streets of Manila, Dopeworld traces the emergence of psychoactive substances and our intimate relationship with them. As a former drug dealer turned subversive scholar, with unparalleled access to drug lords, cartel leaders, street dealers, and government officials, journalist Niko Vorobyov attempts to shine a light on the dark underbelly of the drug world.

Historia
Debauched, divorced, and courting death, Billy Ray Schafer is a comedian who has forgotten how to laugh. Over the course of seven spun-out days across the American Southwest, he travels from from hell gig to hell gig in search of a reason to keep living in this bleak and violent glimpse into the psyche of a thoroughly ruined man. Ex-inmate, ex-husband, ex-father - comedian is the only title Schafer has left. Trapped in the wreckage of his wasted career, Billy Ray knows the answer to the question: What happens when the opportunity doesn't come - or worse - it comes and goes?

I love the book but lack the vocabulary and artistry to write a review even one percent as eloquently as Sam talent wrote this book. Give this book a listen

Historia
She’s a gem..she's on an entirely different level than the women I’m accustomed to. She’s loyal and about her paper. That’s why I’d sacrifice the only friendships I’d ever known, wait for however long it took her to be ready, and happily sever ties with anyone who didn’t agree with—or was against—our union. The little spoiled brat that I once considered off-limits had given me a taste of her forbidden fruit, and there was nothing I’d stop at to maintain the privilege of burying my seeds in her garden.

Nope!
Revisado: 10-23-23
I absolutely love Grey Huffington as a writer. Luca was a great story however I have to read them via audible due to my work and these two narrators are absolutely the worst (nothing personal at all), their voices just do not belong within this series. I cringed so many times when Lyric would tell her side of the story or give any type of example regarding anything. She Even made me cringe doing the voices of the little children, the mom and reading Keanu's side of things. I've listened to books with this particular narrator in the past, and have been turned all the way off just from the voice/cadence alone, however, I wanted to give this series a try because I really like this author.
Unfortunately I have this rule that once I start a book I have to finish it even if I don't particularly like it. I really want to see what Laike is about but I am so hesitant on not following through with my one rule of finishing reading books/series. I would not recommend this read via audible, now the story was a bit drawn out however I really do like Keanu's character in the story. Also the s3x scenes were great, could have been better if they weren't being narrated by this person.

After working her way up as an intern, she burst on the scene as a young female jock whose on-air "Battle of the Beats" segment broke records and became a platform for emerging artists like a young Jay Z. Angie quickly became known for intimate, high-profile interviews, mediating feuds between artists, and taking on the most controversial issues in hip-hop.

This is my second time reading this book. And won't be my last. I've always loved Angie throughout her career, and it's so nice to get some insight into the woman she's become. GREAT READ!!!!

Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Historia
His real name was Earl Simmons. As a child, he placed higher on tests than his fellow students and liked to spend mornings with his mother and sisters playing games and making pancakes. But for young Earl - a boy growing up on the streets of Yonkers, New York - that kind of childhood didn’t last long. Beatings, abuse, and neglect very soon had him moving on to other things, like robbing, stealing, drugs, and, eventually, jail. Along the way, however, he found a talent and a passion for rhyme.

Historia
Dark, deviant, and deliriously funny, Jude Angelini writes in the colloquial vein of Charles Bukowski, using his unique, natural voice to tell stories from his life. He writes about his sexual encounters - both strange and intimate - alongside stories from his childhood and his tell-all experiences with "science drugs". Throughout it all, Jude is critical of himself and his actions, proving himself to be vulnerable, lonely, and extremely relatable. A stellar follow-up to Hyena.

But if you’re not a soft skinned dolt, you will prob enjoy this book.
P.s. I’m only writing this review to help get this book up the charts...idgaf if anyone reads this

Historia
In This Book Has Balls, Rapaport uses his signature smack-talk style and in-your-face humor to discuss everything from why LeBron will never be like Mike to how Tiger needs the ladies to get his golf game back and how he once thought Mary Lou Retton was his true love. And, of course, why next year will be the year the New York Knicks win the championship. This book is a series of rants - some controversial, some affectionate, but all incredibly hilarious.
