Well done ghost story

Harper shows her talent and flexibility as a writer with this delightful romantic ghost story. Her characters are well developed and the layering of plots is both strategical and interesting. I’ve read most of her books and this was one of my favorites.

Unique and entertaining

This was a great book! The world building by the author and the storyline was unique and so intriguing I found it hard to stop listening. One of the best books I’ve listened to in a long time. The narrator was also perfect for the character of the butler.

Interesting look at Canadian values

Best Free title I've listened to thus far

This is my first John Scalzi book but it certainly won't be my last. The premise of the book is fresh and the plot moves along with interesting parts of the world and the main character's most interesting and unusual job in this world being revealed over time. I practically listened to the whole book at once, it was that absorbing. Thanks, Audible for featuring Scalzi's work as part of the free offerings this month for Audible members. I now have a new author to enjoy!
And the narration by Zachary Quinto was superb. He really made the story even better than it already was, and that's saying something because the story itself was excellent.

What an amazing book!

This is a book whose time has come! Julianna is wise beyond her years and her wisdom speaks across the generations. Her chapter on “Don’t should in me,” is worth the whole book and it’s just one small part. Her message of our acceptance by God and how to really be our authentic creative selves with kindness and no apologies has already begun to change my life.
