EXCELLENT!
Revisado: 01-27-25
This book was so great I recommended it to a friend who runs a book club.
It was a light hearted book, yet very deep.
It kind of made me think of being a spy on someone else's group therapy.
A lot of lovely lessons in this book.

More for Teens

This book would perhaps be better for young readers. It lacked details and emotions, but it may give readers hope for better when things aren't currently so great.

I fell in love with Carl, until I didn't like his decision.
However, these kinds of books are better therapy then therapy. How lovely to listen to good examples of how relationships should be and how differences can be handled.

Historia
In town, they called her "Crazy Widow Dinsmore". But Elly was no stranger to their ridicule - she had been an outsider all her life, growing up in a boarded-up old house under the strict eye of her eccentric grandparents. Now she was all alone, with two little boys to raise, and a third child on the way. Will Parker drifted into Whitney, Georgia, one lazy afternoon in the summer, hoping to put his lonely past behind him. He yearned for the tenderness he had never known, the home he'd never had. All he needed was for someone to give him a chance.

Absolutely Lovely
Revisado: 12-16-24
This was an absolutely lovely love story! It also taught me a part of history I never knew before. I thought all the Jewish camps were 100% horrid, I had no idea there was a tiny fraction of 'peace' in one of them. I had no idea any of them had artists.
I do wish the ending would have been longer.

Patric Gagne realized she made others uncomfortable before she started kindergarten. Something about her caused people to react in a way she didn’t understand. She suspected it was because she didn’t feel things the way other kids did. Emotions like fear, guilt, and empathy eluded her. For the most part, she felt nothing. And she didn’t like the way that “nothing” felt.

WOW!!!
Revisado: 12-13-24
What an incredible book, author, and narrator!!!!
I did want to learn more about Sociopaths because I do hypnotherapy so I am always trying to learn more about people and this is very interesting. I am so glad this was the book I chose, for the Author told about the topic though her own experience and she was 100% kind and empathetic about the topic and the people.
She spoke clearly in both narrative and subject.
Not only did she impress me with her book and narration, but as a person! She didn't allow anything to be an excuse, she learned and grew and flourished from her 'disability'
Absolutely amazing!

Loved It
Revisado: 11-30-24
I absolutely loved this book. It was perfectly narrated too. I was seething over the 1 character.
I will listen again later as this is one of those books you have to read 2ce to fully understand it.
Then end could have used a little more.
