Excellent Leadership Book
Revisado: 01-01-20
Combining the lessons of leadership in the military, business and life, this book does a wonderful job of taking theoretical application of leadership principles and providing practical anecdotes for easy understanding.
For anyone who has ever served in the military, I am certain this will be right up your ally. For those who haven't served, there are fantastic lessons to be learned from the authors.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Historia
This is Jim Dale's incomparable telling of the beloved A Christmas Carol, a "little book," as Charles Dickens himself called it, which has been treasured by generations since December of 1843. Listeners of all ages will be enthralled as they meet for the first time, or are reunited with, that miser of all misers, Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge.

Misleading Title, yet fine summary
Revisado: 04-07-18
When I purchased this audiobook I thought I was getting a narrowed focus, as the title implies, to the final three days of Eisenhower's presidency. Having just read Eisenhower in War and Peace, I was excited to get an intimate look at this final chapter in public life. I was disappointed to find out that the book was 95% a summary of the much more thorough previous reading, and 5% a focus on the "Military Industrial Complex" and the transition from Eisenhower to Kennedy.
For someone interested in a casual read about Eisenhower, I would recommend this book. For anyone interested in anything more than that, I would suggest you keep looking.

Historia
McCullough's John Adams has the sweep and vitality of a great novel. This is history on a grand scale, an audiobook about politics, war, and social issues, but also about human nature, love, religious faith, virtue, ambition, friendship, and betrayal, and the far-reaching consequences of noble ideas. Above all, it is an enthralling, often surprising story of one of the most important and fascinating Americans who ever lived.

This was the first book I've ever listened to on Audible. I was skeptical at first. However, by the end of the first chapter I was completely sold. The reader was excellent and the story was week written.
