I hope for more on this series. Nice! I stopped reading her book after Anita Blake became just too sexually explicit. I hope she doesn't eventually turn this character's "character. I loved that he is married with a son.

I was an obsessed reader of Hamilton's for years. I guess her current stories are now geared towards this younger, unfiltered age group. All this group sex is a turn off. I no longer like Anita, her character has lost traditional values.... but I guess that's what Hamilton wants. I'll check on Anita a few years from now. #uggghh #ApprovedWhoring

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If Mrs. Hamilton had not changed the Anita Blake character; all the added lovers made the character too promiscuous and changed to tone of the series. Obsidian Butter left me anxious and disappointed that so many of the books in the series were missing (Audible jumps from Obsidian Butterfly to Bullet #19). I couldn't wait, so I order "Bullet". After listening for a while, I was like Huh? What happened to Anita?
I screamed: "Laurell done turned Anita into the Whore of Babylon, lol!"
What was most disappointing about Laurell K. Hamilton’s story?
I have purchased and listened to the first 9 books of this series in less than 2 weeks. . Anita a woman of class and strength, who kept us reader on pins and needles waiting to see who would be her first lover, Richard or Jean Claude. I loved that she had moral standards,and that she blushed. I am 3 hours into this book and I find out that her character has multiple sex partners. Dang, I hate that Mrs. Hamilton turned Anita into a slut. The male characters have become too feminine to enjoy. Uggghhhh! I was really enjoying these books!
