Historia
What is a “normal family,” and how do you go about making one? Chrysta Bilton’s magnetic, larger-than-life mother, Debra, yearned to have a child, but as a single gay woman in 1980s California, she had few options. Until one day, while getting her hair done in a Beverly Hills salon, she met a man and instantly knew he was the one she’d been looking for. Beautiful, athletic, artistic, and from a well-to-do family, Jeffrey Harrison appeared to be Debra’s ideal sperm donor.

A Tale of a Most Incredible
Revisado: 08-21-24
This is one of the best books I ever heard. I can relate deeply to so many of the experiences. This is a story of a mother who has led one of the most extraordinary lives. I was riveted from beginning to end. The book was written by the daughter about her mother and sister and their incredible lives and with an amazing cast of characters. This book is not fiction. This book is an Autobiography and Biography at the same time. There is a plot twist of how this family came to be that will just dazzle the reader. I highly recommend this book. The author has written in a most wonderful style. This book is a flawless gem.

Very Scientifically oriented
Revisado: 05-10-24
The best author on the subject of consciousness. He is a very enlightened being who understands consciouness from experience and a tremendous amount of scientific information. He's a very serious long term meditator who is kind enough to share his wisdom with us. I find his podcasts uplifting.

Historia
Governor Culbert L. Olson is one of the most important and prominent men you have probably never heard of. Elected governor of California in 1938, he is noted for being the first Democratic governor of the state in over 40 years. His term spanned the years 1939 to 1943, years of tumult and trial for California and for all of America. It included the last part of America's Great Depression and the first part of World War II. Olson led California through this difficult time with a progressive agenda known as Olson's "New Deal for California."

High Moral Character of Culbert Olson
Revisado: 02-20-24
Very interesting and riveting story of the history of Governor Culbert Olson from when his ancestors found their way from Europe to NY than to Utah where Culbert was born. He then made his way to California. He was a deep thinker and from an early age reasoned that being an Atheist was truth. He was for the people and improving their lives. His moral character was a very rare thing in politics then as today. Very powerful forces tried to defeat him at every turn. They could not sway the courage and constant vigilance to do good for the people of California. I came away uplifted just by knowing such an ethical man existed in the rough and tumble political era of 1939 to 1943 and how he never Compromised his belief that we all must do good for the society as a whole.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Loved this book
Revisado: 04-22-23
I always thought being a Princd was a fairy tale. This book dispels that myth. The press has caused many issues. The evil Rubert Murdoch has not only been spreading lies in the UK but doing it here in the US as well.
I grew very fond of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. I now know the truth. Harry and Meghan were not supported by their royal family and were chased out of UK. That's okay. We in the US love them here.

Historia
The Founding Fathers tried to protect us from the threat they knew, the tyranny that overcame ancient democracy. Today, our political order faces new threats, not unlike the totalitarianism of the twentieth century. We are no wiser than the Europeans who saw democracy yield to fascism, Nazism, or communism. Our one advantage is that we might learn from their experience.

A Mediocre Book
Revisado: 08-24-22
The first half of book was confusing and I couldn't put together where it was all going. Keep reading (or listening). By halfway through it all starts to make sense but this book turned out to be a meritocracy. There were moments of drama yet it fell flat.
Observation: Reese Witherspoon could be one of the characters from the book. She's rich and famous so I can see why she would be attracted to this book.
In the end the book was a let down.

Historia
First published in monthly parts from March 1852 to September 1853, this novel follows the fortunes of three pedestrian characters; Esther Summerson, Ada Clare, and Richard Carstone. The story they tell embondies Dickens' merciless indictment of the Court of Chancery and its bungling, morally corrupt handling of the endless case of Jarndyce v. Jarndyce, giving the novel its scope and meaning.

Nothing Interesting Happened
Revisado: 07-18-22
This book brought you into 1850's London and it was very interesting how life was then. However except for the interesting comparisons of how people lived in those days compared to now, there was no plot. The book droned on and on without any excitement.

Best Poscast I've ever heard!
Revisado: 11-03-21
This is the best book/podcast I've ever heard that explains politics in the United States and how an Authoritarian like Trump arose. Government has been throwing the little guy under the bus for decades, bailing out big banks and wall street and letting the little guy go down the tubes. This is the realist depication I've ever heard. A must listen to because it is far and away the best explanation of why Obama was no FDR and how he made possible Trump.

Total Garbage
Revisado: 08-23-20
This book is a total lie. It doesn't teach you how to to be free or successful. How ironic that more than half this extremely short book is extremely negative. It does not give you even 1 workable idea of how to get rid of the negativity. The book that will accomplish the goals that this book totally failed at is The Emotion Code by Bradley Nelson.

The Worst Book I've Ever Read
Revisado: 08-17-20
I have listener to about 25 Audiobooks in past 2 years and this is the only book I disliked to the point that I'm deleting it. It is written by an ignorant man who is also delusional. He doesn't understand the 1st thing about Soul or Emotions. His statements are of a madman: dolphins are going to disappear: all the planets have Souls: everybody is full of Fears unless they rise to their Authentic Soul. He doesn't understand that many emotions are in the subconscious mind and these emotions can sway your life. He offers no sound formula for eliminating negative emotions. Therefore he has no formula to evolving ones Soul. This book is total BS and no one should listen to the ravings of this madman. If you really want to experience Soul meditation is a great tool and if you want to eliminate negative emotions listen to The Emotion Code which is very true. This book is almost entirely false and will waste the time of many.
