As a grandma of young children, I want to understand the driving forces behind the explosion of trans kids. This book is well researched, science based and extremely informative. The author presents the history of gender confusion with well thought out and understandable language. I greatly admire the author and believe she is doing work to save our children and our families against all odds.

What a story!

The author did his research and has woven a story that is a must read. This is a book that will remain in my thoughts and my heart forever. Rudy is a true hero and I am glad the author told Rudy's story. The author is the narrator (which I usually don't like), and he did an excellent job. I was immediately engaged in this non-fiction book that reads like a novel. There were no parts that were difficult to get through. I highly recommend "The Escape Artist".

Great Story with Excellent Narration

This was a long awaited read for me. Having loved Pillars of the Earth, this prequel did not disappoint. Having said that, you do not need to have read Pillars. The narrator kept all of the many characters distinctly apart. The author wove a tale that kept me not wanting to put the book down. Sit down and enjoy!
