Historia
In this shocking and groundbreaking new book, economic historian Burton Folsom, Jr., exposes the idyllic legend of Franklin D. Roosevelt as a myth of epic proportions. With questionable moral character and a vendetta against the business elite, Roosevelt created New Deal programs marked by inconsistent planning, wasteful spending, and opportunity for political gain---ultimately elevating public opinion of his administration but falling flat in achieving the economic revitalization that America needed.

Much-needed revisionist account of FDR
Revisado: 07-22-22
Great story- telling, filled with facts, quotes, and anecdotes. Makes a compelling case and leaves you wondering when, if ever, this retelling will finally break into the average college US history class.

Historia
Thomas Sowell is one of America’s leading voices on matters of race and ethnicity. In his book, Inside American Education, he surveyed the ills of American education from the primary grades to graduate school with “an impressive range of knowledge and acuity of observation”, according to the Wall Street Journal. Now, in his book Race and Culture, he asks the question: “What is it that allows certain groups to get ahead?” and the answer will undoubtedly create debates for years to come.

Fantastic as Always
Revisado: 02-23-19
Thomas Sowell is one of the greatest authors and thinkers of our time. This country would be a better place if his books were standard reading requirements in our high schools and colleges.

modern and cynical history of Napoleon
Revisado: 06-21-18
if you're looking for a military history, look elsewhere.
if you're looking for a well balanced account of his life, also look elsewhere.
this book is well written and the story told is fascinating, but the constant cynicism and total absence of traditional military history was disappointing to me.
