Historia
Liv Reese wakes up in the back of a taxi with no idea where she is or how she got there. When she’s dropped off at the door of her brownstone, a stranger answers—a stranger who claims to live in her apartment. She reaches for her phone to call for help, only to discover it’s missing. In its place is a bloodstained knife. Her hands are covered in scribbled messages, like graffiti on her skin: STAY AWAKE. Two years ago, Liv was thriving as a successful writer for a trendy magazine. Now, she’s lost and disoriented in a New York City that looks nothing like what she remembers.

Narration…
Revisado: 11-29-23
If it weren’t for Ms. LaVoy (whom I absolutely love as a narrator), I would have never finished this book. I will not bash the other narrator, as I will always respect and admire the efforts of any individual who took the time to verbally entertain a world full of critical people. She did what many couldn’t or wouldn’t have, and for that, I am grateful. That being said, “Liv” may not have been the best character for this narrator. The consistently confused state of the main character was definitely conveyed by the tone and voice. But the pace of the story and the pronunciation of certain words grated on my nerves. I appreciate the story, as some parts kept me guessing. Others induced an overwhelming desire to skip ahead, or increase the playback speed.

Excellent

Very interesting storyline with an ending that definitely sums it all up. I love the sense of heroism and that the integrity of the main characters continue with every novel in the series. The author does an amazing job of keeping things relevant.

Love Tami Hoag novels. This one was very well written and kept my interest from start to finish. Excellent performance by Scott Brock. There’s just something about when he is narrating that makes the story that much more enjoyable. Everything was tied in and tied up very well. Definitely worth the credit and the time spent listening.

It’s been a long time since I’ve head a book that I’ve considered “un-put-downable” but this one is definitely one that held me from start to finish. It hit all the right notes. Had me in suspense, horrified me, made me laugh, made me cry, and definitely made me angry lol. I’m very glad I purchased this one, as I just happened to come across it searching for other books by familiar authors. Very thankful for the Audible recommendations!

Well Written
Revisado: 07-17-21
Loved how the book touched on so many topics. Grief, loss, abuse, secrecy, and others. I like how the author shows how so many of those have such lasting effects on our lives and how one act of another can change everything. Great read!

Awesome
Revisado: 07-12-21
Loved this book! Had just the right amount of drama, suspense, thrills, and mystery. Loved how the author seemed to have multiple stories within one, which were all tied together, told at a great pace, and kept you guessing. This is the kind of “edge of your seat” novel that I’ve been looking for and I’m grateful to have found this author. Love Scott Brick! He was the perfect narrator for this one!
