What is cosmic consciousness? The present volume is an attempt to answer this question; but notwithstanding it seems well to make a short prefatory statement in as plain language as possible so as to open the door, as it were, for the more elaborate exposition to be attempted in the body of the work. Cosmic consciousness, then, is a higher form of consciousness than that possessed by the ordinary man.

The world's oldest profession is neither prostitution nor politics. The oldest profession is shamanism - the shaman's job is to remove our consciousness from our body so we can rise above it, giving us the ability to look back on it and see what we are. Then we can be reintroduced to the self with new knowledge and an expanded range of consciousness.

good content but should have let someone else read for the audiobook. I could have done without all of the author's meandering off topic and throwing of political darts. While he was simply reading, he content was pretty good, however, all of the off topic babbling was very distracting
