Touchy subject matter done well
Revisado: 05-21-19
While this isn’t a typical genre that I read, it was done relatively well. Without any spoilers, I enjoyed the overall growth of the main character, though she faced some exceptionally challenging years where I wish I could’ve personally pulled her from her hellhole. It’s an extremely sad reality that victims face, when they blame themselves for their abuse. Good narration. Would recommend this book.

Historia
Trinity Morris, cofounder of You're Not Alone, has a domestic violence past that still haunts her 10 years later. She is devoted to helping victims find freedom and to sharing information on how to help them through their emotional and violent trials. While Trinity is presenting at a seminar, she comes across Gavin, a police officer who knows her past all too well. It's been 10 years since he last saw her, but the moment Gavin's eyes land on her, he's intent on getting to know the woman who has haunted his dreams all these years.

Positive outcome on a bad situation
Revisado: 05-06-17
I don't typically read books based on domestic violence, but this book stayed fairly positive throughout the storyline. I enjoyed hearing how Trinity managed to spin something awful happening to her into such a strong and encouraging story. Gavin's character was written as such a kind, understanding, and sweet man, I think anybody could fall in love with him! This was a good read, especially for anybody needing to read something positive.
