Great story and narrator. Very suspenseful and well written book (even though the "romantic" parts sometimes felt a bit over the top). Really enjoyed listening to it and it's probably my favorite audiobook to date. Highly recommend it.

I really liked this book. The perspective (a survivor's account of what happened, during therapy) in which it was written/told really added to the story. It was disturbing at times, suspenseful during others. All around a good read/listen.
Note: The book does contain content of rape, so if you're sensitive to "triggers" just be aware of that.

I loved everything about this book. The fact that Dugard herself narrates it makes it soul wrenchingly honest and real. This woman's strength, attitude and grace has made her my new hero. A must read/listen!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a really dark story, but Gillian Flynn's writing is very good and the different narrators really add to the listening experience. For something to grab my attention and keep it for 10+ hours it has to be good - and this story was. It's intriguing and keeps you guessing till the very end. I highly recommend this book!

Quite a dark book, with a severely flawed main character (suitable for the story). I enjoy Gillian Flynn's writing, and the narrator was very good. I did, however, like Flynn's "Dark Places" a bit more. If you're choosing between the two, I'd say go for the latter. But both books are well worth a read/listen.
