Amazing story

Five stars isn’t enough for this book. What an amazing journey of loss and love, all in a world of magical creatures. They are all perfectly imperfect characters I fell in love with. I cried with them, laughed with them, and went through a rollercoaster of emotions all while finding my own healing. The story is so unique. I have no words to express how good this is, other than it’s my top book of 2024.

It was full dark when I snuck out of the castle to meet you. You wore those ripped black jeans and your new friend’s boots, with sleet from the forest still in the grooves. You moved awkwardly in your new clothes because you were still creating yourself, like one of your drawings. We drank vanilla cola from glass bottles and listened to a song about how fast the night changes over and over.

Great, complex characters.

I absolutely love the author’s prose and writing style. This story is great and gives all the feels. That being said, I had a lot of moments of confusion as to what was going on in the story. I love books where the story unfolds in pieces, foreshadowing, etc., but something just didn’t click for me in this one. It could be a me issue. Either way, I loved the characters and the world.

I love the characters and the storyline, but there were issues with the editing on the audio. Some repeated lines happening. Still, I loved it and would recommend this series.

Laura Thalassa brings this story to life with amazing world building, engaging characters, and enough mystery to keep me interested. Though The Bargainer series will always be my favorite, Bewitched is a close second. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Fell in love with serial killers

The author brought the characters to life, all their good and bad, and made me fall in love with them. The comedy in this book made it a light in the sea of dark romance books. I will never look at orzo the same way again. Brilliant!

I loved the journey of the three friends, getting to know them so well and feeling like I was right there with them. Learning so much about their culture and their experience being multicultural was an added bonus and the author did a fantastic job of showing it for those of us who are not familiar, yet keeping within an amazing story.
I didn’t know what to expect at all going into this book and it blew me away. Between the friendships and the psychological thriller aspect, I don’t know if any other book can compete. Fabulous must read book.

It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great. It was missing that special sauce that made the original trilogy so popular. This might be one of the few books where the movie is better. It did, however, give a decent insight to the origins of the games and Snow’s character.
The narrator did good. He has a nice, soothing voice.
