The alien turtles

I liked that it seemed to be a awesome space adventure like, to sleep in a sea of stars.

dislike, it was a journey of self, the space stuff was an after thought.

never any clue as to what the turtles were, what the hole had in it, or did exactly, never find out if he gets back..

cause it was a entire story of self discovery. Which is artsy fartsy, not something this author normally does, he can do self discovery while writing a epic adventure. He proved that with inheritance series, an to sleep in a sea of stars.

so the ending let me down. Especially since it took place in the same universe of, To Sleep in a Sea of Stars.

i liked the thought there would be a story.

it reads like a national geographic book, feom different perspectives, non stop talk of birds, and their colors, looks, scientific names.

no character development, constant perspective shifts. i gave up half way in.

cause if i heard the story rant about tit mouses, or red worblers, for 1 more second id would of screamed.

there is a book inside the Biology lesson somewhere. but it might be 10 pages long. and not worth it.

ASTOUNDING AMAZING AWESOME UNDESCRIBABLE

One of the best stories in many years of reading. It feels like a mix of Stand by me to start, with the hints of HPL horror, but then turns into a mixture of Fantasy, mystery, wonder. It left me gobsmacked, and sad.

DEADLY RANT PT3 BUT OVERALL DECENT

The span of time between seeing someone, and saying hello, can easily become a seven pages of thoughts. This made the book in some places far longer than it needs to be.

Also things can be outlined over, and over, like we had no clue how it was done the first time it was explained in long wonderful detail. So going over it again in long details was annoying.

overall a decent book in audio, but i would not be able to physically read this, the constant droning would bore me to tears.

but i like the end the most. worth listening to, if you dont mind being explained the same things over, and over, not to mention 10 seconds of thinking or less, to be explained in 40 pages, pick it up and read it physically.

The fact el cheats on her boyfriend, 2 times, and that is made okay, sits morally wrong with me. I do not agree with it, and the descriptive secens of doing it are not required for the overall story telling.

Absolutely outstanding!

Buy it, read it, listening to it. But this is far from the inheritance quadrilogy. I think he could of laid off the profanity with Gods name. But he was trying to stretch those adult book legs. There is near perfect harmony between detail, stage setting, character dialogue, the all important action, without going into long drawn out monologues where nothing happens. If he lets Hollywood get this one for movie or even a show. DO NOT LET them ERAGON it. You need the details in this every bit of them. And Hollywood would just turn the protagonists into a weapon no further info, and just bend it over and ding dong the hole dry turning it into a mess of raw bloody skin and poo.

A deadly rant. But worth it.

The overall story is not bad. I am hoping there is a second book. There should be a bit more magic use. But when the author starts character dialogue, it seems very short lived though most of the book. Then it almost cuts off for us to hear the ranting thoughts of a 16 year old girl. That for me a parent of teens gives me insight into the insecurities of teen girls. But it also lets me know this is why some girls can chatter on into endless rants. Because as soon as I start seeing good dialogue between each character. Our insecure Galadriel goes into a mental thought rant for entire chapters. This gets better towards the end. But overall not bad. Not really a tantalizing action packed story. Some kind of weird school girl coming of age pretty women romance with no romance love but not love magic tale. It’s weird, but not bad listening.
