Historia
Ragnar Blackmane is unique among the Space Wolves in ascending to the Wolf Guard without ever being a Grey Hunter. But how did he manage such a feat? The beginnings of that story are told here. When the Spear of Russ, an ancient relic of the Space Wolves once wielded by Leman Russ himself, is stolen, the Chapter seeks its return on the world of Garm. But when the forces of Chaos ambush them, the enraged Space Wolves learn that there is more to the attack than they could have guessed, for an ancient enemy of the Chapter is prophesied to be reborn.

And they shall know fear from time to time?
Revisado: 06-12-24
Since when do space marines especially the wolves talk about their feelings of fear, apprehension, and claustrophobia? Russ would have yeeted Ragnar back into the world forge of Fenris to hopefully get new recruits that weren't milk drinkers

Historia
The rules of relationships have changed. In our generational movement toward wholeness, women want to be more than mothers and homemakers, and men aspire to loving relationships rather than simply being warriors and work machines. The age-old distinctions between male and female roles have blurred, and the rules of relationships have not yet caught up, creating confusion and frustration.

The late 80s early 90s vibes are strong
Revisado: 06-04-24
The narration is done well and the narrator does a great job in not sounding monotone or overly dry.
The issue is the ideas and insistence of some of the most reductive stereotypical drivel. 5 chapters in and Dr. Gray could not stop talking about how women need to return to their feminine side. A side which seems to consist of double speaking and testing men by not openly and transparently having a conversation.
Would not recommend this to anyone actually seeking balance and communication in an intimate or platonic relationship.

Sanguinius makes perhaps 2 or 3 appearances in the 5 hour runtime there is exactly no previously unknown information offered. Not much action poor attempt at being a suspense/thriller it's a GW cash grab

Historia
The Great Crusade has swept across half the galaxy, a million human worlds now embracing the truth and reason that comes with allegiance to the rule of Terra. But even such unparalleled success comes at a cost. Rumours abound that the Emperor plans to step back from the Crusade and raise one of his primarch sons to lead in his stead. Faced with the bitterly noncompliant human empire of Gardinaal and a leaderless host of Ultramarines, Thousand Sons and Emperor’s Children at his Legion’s command, the Iron Hands primarch Ferrus Manus decides to make an example that even the Emperor cannot ignore.

Almost nothing to do with Ferrus Manus
Revisado: 10-17-19
More like "the plot is weak". This is a story that should in no way be carry the title Ferrus Manus or The Gorgon of Medusa. The stories main focus is not Ferrus Manus, an Iron Hands legionary, or a base human attached to an Iron Hands expeditionary force. The main protagonist is a 3rd legion Capt who like a typical Emperors Children legionary is proud, vain, and self aggrandizing. Being so bold as to think himself a better swordsman than one of the most renowned of emperors children Lucius The Eternal. In most of the other titles in this series you learn more about the title character (The Primarch) David Guymer took a different approach. Instead of learning about Ferrus Manus's history on Medusa, his relationship with Fulgrim, or anything like that Guymer focused on telling us about a new character we weren't interested in learning about, NOT focusing on the title characters life or deeds, and constantly comparing him to a big angry charging land raider tank. Ferrus Manus instead of being a brooding ill fated and sometimes ill tempered forge master and battle commander is portrayed as a shallow 1 dimensional character that is just jealous and angry. When he is involved in the story at all. I wish I could return this audio book and I wish I could get back the 6 hours it took to listen to it.
That being said Jonathan Keeble read the pile of manure extremely well and did his best to make its characters engaging.

Title should be Kor Phaeron: Sneaky Snake
Revisado: 10-04-19
This like a few other of the books in this series is a lot less about the primarch the book is titled about than what you would initially hope for. I mean the book is titled Lorgar. It would be like picking up a book titled BATMAN and then the whole story is about Alfred Penniworth and his relationship with Bruce Wayne.

Historia
The scattered worlds of the Elara's Veil nebula were once protected by the oath of unity sworn by three mighty Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. The Star Scorpions were undone by flaws in their genetic coding. The Celestial Lions were ravaged by the Inquisition for sins they did not commit. Now, after hundreds of years, only the Emperor's Spears still keep their vigil. They are barbarian watchmen against the Outer Dark, bloodied but unbroken in their long duty.

great story but a little odd narrator choice

when I think of hearing a space marines voice I imagine deep rumbling bass notes gruff and masculine. Kelly Hotten was good for the base human voices but it's weird hearing a womans voice for the emperors angels

not my favorite story but reading was fantastic
Revisado: 12-25-18
Graham McNeil has written better in this series but the subject matter is a tough one too really get behind if you are a big horus heresy fan they are tertiary characters but do come along again later in the series. I guess this is just a bit deeper into the back story to make everything seem even more machiavellian.
