Bronson Pinchot is amazing!
Revisado: 01-19-17
At several points, I had to remind myself that it was only Bronson. It has the feel of a full cast recording, great work.
Occasionally, the audio clips off half a word at the end of a chapter.

Perfect for a rainy evening
Revisado: 08-02-16
Normally, I read the story first and then listen to the story. In this case, I think I'm glad I didn't. Urry's narration was smooth yet ominus. In some places, I almost heard shades of Anthony Hopkins. The performance almost felt like a bed time story told by Hannibal Lector.

Historia
The fall of mankind begins with just one man, a man who sells his soul piece by piece. Perhaps he does it with the purest of intentions or perhaps he does it because he's a greedy, grasping, evil son of a bitch. Either way the results are the same: Hell on Earth. Jack Dreyden, a doctoral candidate in ancient languages, begins his road to Hell when he translates an ancient scroll that was never supposed to see the light of day.

Great Stuff!
Revisado: 08-02-16
I'm a big fan of Peter's work and the story here is no exception. Great narration by Erik Johnson. No confusing sound a like characters! It's so much easier to enjoy and get lost in when you know who is speaking! I hope Erik does the sequel

Historia
When the movie starts, the horror becomes real. It was a run-down old multiplex in a seedy part of town. But it had a special late-night festival of the cheap horror movies one group of friends loved, movies filled with zombies, vampires, and backwoods maniacs. How could they know it was a very special screening indeed? After the friends split up and their chosen movies began, they found themselves transported out of the life they knew and into the blood-drenched worlds of the films.

Disappointing
Revisado: 08-02-16
I'm a huge fan of Bryan Smith and I really love this story. The narration was delivered in a radio commercial style. Everyone had the same voice with no emotional variation.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

I was already a fan of King and the novel, but Craig Wasson was an awesome surprise. It was a smooth and consistent narration. Each character had a distinct voice, no confusion about who was speaking. Great, emotional reading

I'm already a fan of Iain Rob Wright and Nigel does some of his other books. I thought Nigel was great. Each character had a distinct voice or tone. It was very easy to tell who was speaking without a jarring accent change.
