Don’t waste your credit
Revisado: 09-29-21
i was really disappointed with this book. The narration was monotone and uninteresting. The female lead was weak and the male lead was an overbearing bully.
I would have returned the book after the first few chapters but for some reason Audible wouldn’t allow me to do so. So I have persevered through the book - what a waste of a credit.

Too cruel for me
Revisado: 07-27-19
Don’t be swayed by the positive reviews. This book doesn’t deserve them.
I tried numerous times to listen to all of this this book but it was way to cruel and dark for me. So I skipped through chapters thinking that a man who claims to be so in love with a woman would have some compassion for her but Kane was just a monster. In the end I cheered for Ellie when she finally found out the truth about Kane and had the chance to tell Kane how much she hated him.
All in all a very disturbing experience.

Don’t be put off by negative reviews.
Revisado: 12-13-18
I nearly missed listening to this book because of the numerous negative reviews concerning the narration. I found the narrator easy to listen to and so I became totally engrossed in the story. Josie Quinn is a detective who has been suspended from duty and when girls go missing she uses what ever means she can to help solve the case. At this point I won’t elaborate on the story because it would spoil it for others but there are many unexpected twists in this tale.
I enjoyed the book and will listen to the other books in this series.

Great book but disappointing ending
Revisado: 08-13-17
Would you listen to The Girl Who Was Taken again? Why?
If there is a sequel written I will read this book again. I hated the ending - well no there wasn't an ending. I was just left hanging there waiting.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Girl Who Was Taken?
There were so many memorable moments but none more than the fact that the book didn't have an ending.
Have you listened to any of Nina Alvamar’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listened to any of her other books but I was so impressed with her performance that I will make sure I find another of the books she has narrated.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listed to this book during a 24 hour period. I so wanted to find out if Nicole survived. But because there was no ending I still don't know.
Any additional comments?
This was a great book full of intrigue and heart stopping moments. It was really well written and I will look for other books written by Charlie Donlea. Hopefully one of them will be the book that gives me the ending to this book.

Karen Rose does it again!
Revisado: 04-16-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Alone in the Dark to be better than the print version?
I didn't attempt to read the print version of the book - I really enjoy the freedom of an audiobook - it makes gardening much more relaxing.
What did you like best about this story?
This was a 30 hour audiobook but at no time did it drag. I was always connected to the story and easily became engrossed in the lives of the characters.
Which character – as performed by Hillary Huber – was your favorite?
I have two favourites- Scarlett and Marcus.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
if I nominate a particular moment I will spoil the story for others. But for those reading this review I can honestly say that this book is worth the time and effort of either reading or listening to. You won't be disappointed.
Any additional comments?
I have listened to the first two books in this series and can highly recommend them. I am looking forward to the third.

Black Widow!
Revisado: 10-18-16
Where does Insidious rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Probably in the top twenty percent.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Insidious?
The last sentence. It pulls the whole story together.
What about Savannah Richards’s performance did you like?
Savannah Richards aka Therese Plummer is one of my favourite narrators. She is amazing.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The book was very dark in places and really made me cringe. But as they say karma is a bitch.

Historia
Want, need, pain, and joy were emotions Shade had never known existed before Lily. He knew the first time he saw her face that she was going to change his life forever. The thing he hadn't expected was how hard it would be to hide who and what he was from her. Each step he took out of the shadows revealed more of himself until only one secret remained. Shade arrogantly believed he could help heal the wounds from her past, but now it was his own past that was trying to tear them apart.

The other side of Shade
Revisado: 03-21-16
Where does Shade rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Shade ranks high in the audiobooks I have listened to. Even though this book was a retelling of the other Last Rider books, but from Shades point of view, it made me realise that Shade really did have a heart. I don't listen to many MC books because I have been spoiled by the Last Riders.
What other book might you compare Shade to and why?
I don't think I have listened to another book that I could compare with.
What about Carly Robins’s performance did you like?
I had passed over the book many times because of the negative reviews about the narration. Yes I guess I would have liked Elizabeth Hart to narrate Shade but Carly Robins did an excellent job. I think sometimes we become so used to a narrator that we feel the series is let down when there is a change.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
As with everyone who listened to this book my special moment came at the end. This man loved his Lily so much that nothing was going to keep them apart.
Any additional comments?
If you are a Last Rider fan give this book and narrator a try. So what if Carly Robins says Killyama instead of KillYaMa. Maybe that's the way Jamie Begley meant it to be and Elizabeth Hart got it wrong! In my opinion it was well worth the credit.

It had me from the beginning!
Revisado: 03-21-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Closer Than You Think to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version but I would presume it would be as good as the audiobook.
What did you like best about this story?
This was a long book which gave the author lots of time to explore each character. I don't often read thrillers but this one intrigued me.
What does Hillary Huber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Hillary Huber's narration was amazing. She was able to keep the suspense to a maximum pitch even to the point where I avoided listening to this book near bed time. I think when you read a book you can sometimes miss the nuances that a skilled narrator can bring.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
You can easily be mistaken!
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book and it was well worth the credit.

Revisado: 03-21-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Runaway Vampire to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version and so I am unable to comment.
What did you like best about this story?
I have been waiting for Dante's story and really enjoyed the audiobook. I guess I would have to be honest and say that what I liked best that the female character was a 62 year old widow with all the insecurities that go with a post menopausal woman. Wouldn't we all love to be turned back 30 years and be wrinkle free.
Have you listened to any of Bebe Kaye’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have only listened to one other of her narration and this one was on par.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme reactions. The book was engaging and I listened to most of it in one day.

Historia
Cash was living the life of the lieutenant of The Last Riders, and he had women at his beck and call. The only thing he saw himself settling down with in the future was a 12 pack... and certainly not Rachel Porter. Hell, she wasn't even his type - her tits were too small, and her mean mouth could shrivel a man's dick. How was he supposed to know she was special and worth putting up with those weed-producing hillbillies? Or was she?

Cash's Story
Revisado: 03-03-16
What made the experience of listening to Cash's Fight the most enjoyable?
I was interested to hear Cash's story. The other books had portrayed him as a bit of a manwhore and I guess they were right. But just as with all the other Last Riders he had his tender side and deserved his own book. I was surprised at Rachel's kinky side. It didn't really meld with the Rachel from the previous books.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Cash's Fight?
I don't think it really had any special memorable moments. And even if it did I wouldn't tell - that would definitely spoil it for others.
What does Carly Robins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I had put off downloading this book because of the negative response of others towards the narrator. She isn't as good as Elizabeth Hart but once you get used to Carly Robins the narration isn't that bad. Pet peeve though is that she doesn't pronounce Killyama properly. Don't they have editors that check these things.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I don't a think these books can be made into films. It's OK to read about sexy bikers, old ladies and club whores but i don't think I would ever bother watching it.
