Good book, but too many audio effects

Too much production this time?

A little note for the publisher: I had a hard time understanding most of the "intercomm" dialogue (which was quite a bit) when not on headphones. I believe this one was a little over-produced.
The book is very good yet not the best one about Thrawn. You can't miss with Zahn and Marc Thompson, both of which do great.

Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

Would you consider the audio edition of Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World to be better than the print version?
Absolutely. The narrator makes it really easy to follow and get hooked.
What other book might you compare Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World to and why?
The Last Speakers by David Harrison, in the sense that it is great non-fiction that is easily approachable for anyone, while remaining highly informative.
Which character – as performed by Jonathan Davis and Jack Weatherford – was your favorite?
No characters, but Mr Davis was great in conveying a sense of interest in the story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, but I was really hooked.
