Historia
Lucy is the tourist vacationing at a beach house on Prince Edward Island. Felix is the local who shows her a very good time. The only problem: Lucy doesn’t know he’s her best friend’s younger brother. Lucy and Felix’s chemistry is unreal, but the list of reasons why they need to stay away from each other is long, and they vow to never repeat that electric night again. It’s easier said than done.

Too long and not enough chemistry
Revisado: 07-17-24
I liked the premise of this book and enjoyed the authors previous books so I was excited to read this one. Or listen rather. Unfortunately, I felt like this book was anti climatic. It took so long to get to the why the friend was upset only to find out it was just because she was moving. The two main characters love story was long and bland. I did not feel there was much chemistry there. it feels like it’s missing a large portion of the story that had the actual build up of them falling in love. I’m not a fan of now and then chapters so maybe that’s why it kept feeling choppy, long winded with unnecessary then chapters, and build up to why the friend was mad only for it be a meh reason, it just kept losing steam for me.

Started very strong
Revisado: 05-26-24
It’s started strong but overall lacked the climatic build and honestly, the love story. I was excited for this book but it didn’t build the love story up as much as I had hoped it would.

Well done!
Revisado: 10-23-21
I’ve been waiting for this book since getting schooled and it did not disappoint! Funny, real, and beautifully written. I laughed and I even teared up.. which I never do. So thank you to the author for making this worth the wait.

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling authors of America's First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. In this haunting, moving, and beautifully written book, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza's story as it's never been told before - not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

A beautifully written story, a bit long but necessary given the characters and who they are.

Lengthy
Revisado: 07-16-19
A. L. Jackson is a fantastic writer and I have been going through her catalog of books and enjoying them all. However, this one fell short for me. The book was long with not enough action to move it forward quick enough. To add to it I felt the male narrators voice was too monotone and it kept pulling me out of the story.

Historia
It started as a game. We flirted. We played. Most importantly - we won. Then I discovered who he was: Gambler. Famous playboy. And my best friend’s soon-to-be brother in law, Cullen Carmichael. He needed a good luck charm, I needed a distraction. So we made a gamble and set off for Vegas - but pretty soon - I was in too deep. My heart, soul, and body weren't supposed to be part of the deal. But somewhere between big wins and long nights, my house of cards started to tumble. I’d given up on love, but the wicked, all-in Cullen Carmichael was upping the ante and wouldn’t stop until he’d won it all.

stopped listening by chapter 8. I just could not stand listening to the female narrator anymore. She constantly used the wrong inflection with her voice and sounded like she was always asking a question. Story was boring but not bad. The Male narrator (Sebastian York) as usual sounded great.

Immature and annoying
Revisado: 07-27-18
This book started out decent but quickly unraveled in to annoying. I had to force myself to finish this and often found my self talking back to it. The best comparison would be Legally Blonde, but oh so much worse. I actually like Ozzie but could not stand May. The way the narrator read this was AWFUL. At about 50% I stopped listening and started reading the book and that seemed to help a bit but I still had a hard time with it. This was a first time read for me for this author and I don’t think I’ll be reading anything else of hers.

Historia
I fell in love with Holden York when I was six years old. Most of my youth came with spiral notebooks filled with doodles, wedding plans, and "Janelle York" looped in bubbly handwriting. However, one night in Vegas changed everything. I woke up to more than just a fantasy of my brother's best friend. Five years later, I'm standing on his doorstep confronting him about the secret he kept from me. If you think this is the story of how we rode off into the sunset together...You're so wrong.

Ok story but couldn’t get in to it.
Revisado: 02-23-18
Narrators were great but were not the right voice for the characters. I kept feeling like I was being lectured by my dad. Also why is Holden such a square? Sheesh. DNF.
