A good story

I liked the storyline and the characters were well-developed. But.........Rosalyn Landor drops her voice so low it is hard to hear even though I know she is trying to convey a quiet moment,. It becomes highly annoying,. Other than that her performance is good. I appreciate the well-developed characters of a book but sometimes authors will spend a lot of time on those character thoughts and stall the storyline. She does do a good job of showing the ups and downs of life in that era.

Great Series, Hoping for more

This is book 2 in a great series that i hope will continue for some time. The characters are well developed and a great story The plot involves earth women, alien hunks some suspense and mystery along with romance and humor. I would recommend the books being read in order.

loved the book. i have it as an ebook and audio. This must be the 3rd listen, a great series. i would love for Prince Barrack's book to be written too. Really like this author and all the series she has written.

got to love the highlanders

What made the experience of listening to Falling for the Highlander the most enjoyable?

I enjoy the settings, the time period of the book and that it is another member of a family that were in other books. I also appreciated i was not sitting on the edge of my seat throughout the book. The lead lady was naive but intelligent if somewhat headstrong.

What other book might you compare Falling for the Highlander to and why?

I have enjoyed the highlander series that Sands has written and hope she finishes by each Buchanan brother having his own book. I enjoy the humor Sands puts into her books, Sometimes events appear contrived due to writing or editing, who knows.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Pretty much but i listen to my books while knitting or other needle work. I also listen while doing quiet jobs such as weeding, cooking, sewing, ironing etc. So depending on the size of the job, i may get to listen to the book in one sitting and this one i would have continued to the end with interest.

Well written and performed but not my kind of book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes but only if they like this type of book and this subject matter. The book as i said is well performed and well written.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Judgment Road?

I think it was when Reaper realized he had to keep her in his life.

What about Jim Frangione’s performance did you like?

He did a very good performance. I would not hesitate to buy a book if he was narrating it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My main reaction was a dislike of the language and many scenes dealing with sex. All the actions and language was representative of the story subject but I was repelled by them and cannot say i enjoyed them. I am not a prude but am of an age when fxxk was not used in every day conversation. I understand the nature of the subject that such language would be common. Reaper's history also prompted the type of sex acts but a turnoff for me.

Any additional comments?

The book as usual is well written and researched but the subject matter is not entertaining to me. I will not be purchasing another in this series even though Ms. Feehan is a favorite author.

Where does The Mighty Hunter rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Hard to answer as i have listen to so many. This has a good story line. It is well performed not just read. The characters are well developed and the main female totally irritated me.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Mighty Hunter?

I think when the ship went down and Hunter saved her by breathing for her and taking her to his world.

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Cook’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not that i am aware of but she did very well, even with the male characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, i wanted to strangle the main female. The lack of acceptance of where she was and what her life would be now, becomes old. She appears to lack common sense too.

Any additional comments?

Ms Pillow has a tenancy to create female characters that are very defiant and it goes on and on in this book. This is not the first book she has written that I wished to strangle the main female. It reminds me of spoiled brats with no common sense. Yes, you have a scientist, she is unbelieving or unaccepting of what she is told, runs off too see for herself. Stubborn, yes. A little of this goes a long way. Yes i will continue reading Ms. Pillow but i wish she would create a different personality for her main female character.

yes and no. I would recommend reading the book but warn anyone that the narration not good

Who was your favorite character and why?

i like them all and the way they weave in and out of the story line on all the books.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Holly Fielding?

unknown, i would have to review the narrators. She sort of drones on, just reading the book, and her portrayals of the different characters is not good.

Was Ready for Love worth the listening time?

the story is great but the narration awful

the story line is such that you put up with the lacking narration.

Would you listen to Charmed by His Love again? Why?

i have listened to the book several times as it is a good book. The characters are well developed and it is a good story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Peg is good but so independent that she nearly passes up a good thing in Duncan. Duncan is probably my favorite. He had his challenges too.

Have you listened to any of Allyson Ryan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

just one other performance. Ms Ryan does well with these books and I have no compliant.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh yes, you will not listen or read a Janet Chapman book without a strong reaction. She manages to keep you right there when you pick up one of her books. There is mystery, love, sorrow and humor in ever book that she has written.

I love Janet Chapman's books, especially the first series of the Highlanders of Pine Creek. Sad that series nor the rest of this series is in audio. She writes a very good book that is hard to put down until finished.
