With few options left for healing and recovery she remained determined for more. honest and hopeful
Revisado: 09-23-24
I am encouraged by this book and the honest struggles that the author faces in her marriage. iblistened to it over one weekend and felt as if a friend was sharing to me the depths of her heart.
The only thing that makes me rate it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the story as a whole is often more like a collection of stories and can feel a little disjointed. especially because autism is mentioned in the title, I felt myself anticipating more about this dynamic, which didn't come until late in the book. However, when it did, her words and encouragement were helpful to me personally.

While picking cherries, they beg their mother to tell them the story of Peter Duke, a famous actor with whom she shared both a stage and a romance years before at a theater company called Tom Lake. drawn out story of old love
Revisado: 11-27-23
I listened to this on a long drive and picked it because of the narration. the story felt drawn out. I kept listening hoping it would get better, but it never captured me. I did finish it, but did not love it.
