Probably Rome's best work
Revisado: 12-11-24
The energy of the host and the guests is awesome. I wanted to check the series out for a long time. So glad I finally did. Rome needs to revisit the early episodes and update these amazing stories.
Reinvention is a daily thing. Thanks for verbalizing such valuable, core information in an original way.
Long time clone from Albucracky. The Rome crew has crushed it again!

Historia
Malcolm Gladwell has long relished the opportunity to skewer the upper echelons of higher education, from the institution of U.S. News & World Report’s Best College rankings to the LSATs to the luxe Bowdoin College cafeteria. I Hate the Ivy League: Riffs and Rants on Elite Education, upends the traditional thinking around how education should work and tries to get to the bottom of why we often reward the wrong people.

Gladwell broadens my mind
Revisado: 12-17-23
I have read much of what Mr. Gladwell writes and I learn something valuable with each experience. His perspective on so many subjects is presented much like my favorite teachers approached complex subjects. He dissects them and digs deep into every piece, apparently educating himself and the reader simultaneously. His insight has stimulated innumerable friendly conversations and his rationale has helped me become a more thoughtful and deliberate person - and for that, I'm tremendously grateful!

Historia
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

A thoughtful perspective on the state of humanity
Revisado: 02-19-23
Frankl uses the unique perspective of individuals subject to great suffering, yet retaining dignity and envisioning meaning, to illustrate the inherent strengths necessary to overcome and succeed. Once these strengths are identified and utilized, everything good seems possible. I will read it again, as there is so much to digest...

I continue to be spellbound by the character and the missions Mr. Greaney produces. Even if the twists seem visible, the details keep me intrigued. Hope there will be more like this series to look forward to!
