Historia
College student Joe Talbert has the modest goal of completing a writing assignment for an English class. His task is to interview a stranger and write a brief biography of the person. With deadlines looming, Joe heads to a nearby nursing home to find a willing subject. There he meets Carl Iverson, and soon nothing in Joe's life is ever the same. Carl is a dying Vietnam veteran-and a convicted murderer. With only a few months to live, he has been medically paroled to a nursing home after spending thirty years in prison for the crimes of rape and murder.

I must say this story, the way it was told and narrated was perfect!! I would definitely recommend reading/listening to it and I look forward to experiencing the same excited feelings with other Allen Eskens books!! Certainly now a new favorite author of mine!!!

Historia
Demi doesn’t expect her summer in Cornwall to hold anything out of the ordinary. As a waitress, working all hours to make ends meet, washing dishes and serving ice creams seems to be as exciting as the holiday season is about to get. That’s until she meets Cal Penwith. An outsider like herself, Cal is persuaded to let Demi help him renovate his holiday resort, Kilhallon Park. Set above an idyllic Cornish cove, the once popular destination for tourists has now gone to rack and ruin.

Ridiculous!!
Revisado: 07-17-19
I usually love these type of stories but not this one! I found myself grimacing with the unreality of the characters and story line!

Another hard to listen!!
Revisado: 06-25-19
I like Lewis Black, too a point, but to hear all of his rants is a bit much!! I realize this was a free download from audiobooks but it just didn't work for me! That being said, I would like to remove this from my device but audiobooks will not allow it until I have finished all of his stories!! I don't want to finish all of his rants! Why can't I remove this?? What's up with that???

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Starts slow
Revisado: 02-08-19
I almost gave up reading this book because of the detail after detail in the first few chapters!! But now I'm glad I didnt! It was a heart warming story and I do understand why the author felt the need for all of the specific details!!
