Historia
Kai and Caleb Goodacre have been kidnapped just as rumors of a cult sweeping across the reservation leads Maggie and Hastiin to investigate an outpost, and what they find there will challenge everything they’ve come to know in this action-packed sequel to Trail of Lightning. It’s been four weeks since the bloody showdown, and Maggie Hoskie, Diné monster hunter, is trying to make the best of things. Only her latest bounty hunt has gone sideways, she’s lost her only friend, Kai Arviso, and she’s somehow found herself responsible for a girl with a strange clan power.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

A story of life.
Revisado: 02-18-20
I like many found Trevor Noah through the Daily Show. Though since he took over I've wondered what was his story. How did a comedian from South Africa become the lead on a well known comedy show.
Well jokes on you! This book doesn't cover that but what it does tell you is an amazing story. A story of life in poverty and abuse. A story of a life that in many ways mirrors society at large.
I recommend this book so highly that I can't put it in words properly.

Great. Story. Ahead.
Revisado: 04-30-19
My friend recommended the Black Ocean book to me after listening to it himself. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Yes it's 85 hours long but it's split in "missions" that you can easily stop and return to later.
The series is a mix of Firefly and Cowboy Bebop. If that interests you then dive in to the Black Ocean.

Beer Brewer's on Mars!
Revisado: 10-28-12
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
MARS. Going Boldly Where No Brewer Has Gone Before.
Any additional comments?
I loved this stand alone book. It was smart, clever and funny too. That helps when listening to a book. It helps that the Narrator was well spoken and her voice didn't gain high pitches. There are not many book about Mars that are not just straight science fiction. (yes i realize this is one) but it felt plausible. Plus its got beer brewer's! Completely enjoyed this book. I recommend it to anyone with a feel for sci-fi and a sense of British humor.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

Sanderson is great!
Revisado: 09-28-12
Would you consider the audio edition of The Gathering Storm to be better than the print version?
Yes! I read all the books and the two narrators just bring these novels to life in ways i never thought possible.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Gathering Storm?
AH! Without giving anything away, there is a scene nearing the end with Rand, Min and a certain Forsaken. IT WAS TENSE!!
What about Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s performance did you like?
The way the are so consistent with the characters is wonderful. Ive listened to some audio books where the voice of the woman reading just grates on my ear drums. (pitch just to high for audio books) Kate is NOT one of those.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Same as my favorite scene. Makes you really feel for Rand.
Any additional comments?
Sanderson is doing a spectacular job at continuing the series. He manages to create multiple high points in the novel where you feel like the book could end at that spot! But it continues and you reach another high spot. You know what that's called? A friggin roller coaster of a read!

Historia
The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

Great!
Revisado: 09-28-12
Would you listen to Good Omens again? Why?
Surely. Pratchett is always good for repeated listens.
What did you like best about this story?
The light hearted outlook on some of religions most treasured ideas. not negatively either.
Which character – as performed by Martin Jarvis – was your favorite?
The head of the Witchfinder's Army. I think everyone knows someone at least a little like him. Gruff and boisterous but really a big softie underneath.
Although Jarvis' version of DEATH was way off. He just HAS to sound like he did in the Discworld books. Its how i will always think of DEATH.
Any additional comments?
A novel with some of that great English humor. Its a must buy if you like ANY of the Discworld books.
