Positive perspective on life. Lots of good ideas on how to get out a rutt, and take control of your own life.

I am a Grisham fan, but heard mixed reviews about this book. I found it to be a very powerful story and very engaging from start to finish. I had a hard time putting it down with anticipation of what would come next, but more impressed with the powerful message from so many viewpoints. I am not very religious, find myself reconsidering my position.

Author gets a little too carried away w describing details making the book very long, but the reader was fantastic - especially with all the different voices for different characters.

Good storyline. A little overly detailed for me.

Good storyline. A little overly detailed for my taste... especially the 1-2 minutes at the end of each and every chapter w cooking instructions for a meal they had eaten during the preceding chapter.

The reader did an excellent job bringing the book to life, but the book itself was painfully long. It was too dark and too dramatic to be believable, and more predictable than I care for. The biggest disappointment was the author didnt even acknowledge the biggest irony of the book... that the main character Charlotte wanted to see the accomplice to her rapist killed so bad she would've done it herself, but when Mason Huckabee wanted to avenge his sister's rapist by killing the man who set him free, Charlotte had no empathy and wanted to crucify Mason... Even though he had pulled the man (Zach Culpepper) off of her when she had been raped. Like I said... too much drama for one book and disconnected. Overall a disappointing book.
