Great story-awful narration

This narrator ruined what would have been a great book. Her voice is awful. Great story though.

Read NEST 1st!!
Revisado: 04-30-18
They don’t have it listed, but read NEST before you read this one. Trust me. For some reason they don’t have them listed as a series, but they are.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a little graphic and does have a lot of gore. I actually skipped though a few mins because of it.

Worst narration EVER!
Revisado: 04-17-18
This is actually a really good book, but the narration is absolutely awful. I couldn’t even get through the 2nd chapter. The narrator has a serious smoker voice and there’s no variation between characters. Also, you can hear her taking breathes which is really annoying. I ended up just reading the book.

The story is actually really good. Great intro for the next book. However, the narrators voice is horrible. It really makes it hard to get through the book.

Historia
Imagine being a 13-year-old girl in love with boys, school, family - life itself. Then suddenly, in a matter of hours, your life is shattered by the arrival of a foreign army. This is the memoir of Elli Friedmann, who was 13 years old in March 1944, when the Nazis invaded Hungary. It describes her descent into the hell of Auschwitz, a concentration camp where, because of her golden braids, she was selected for work instead of extermination. In intimate, excruciating details she recounts what it was like.

Moving story HORRIBLE NARRATION
Revisado: 01-18-17
This book was good. The narration was absolutely horrible though. It really took away from the story. As another review stated the phrase "oh god" gets old after hearing it 100 times in the first hour.

I love Julie Garwood but this narrator is horrible! Her Scottish accent sounds like a Russian and her male lead sounds like a 12 yr-old boy. It ruined the story.
