Historia
The march of climate change is stunning and vicious, with rising seas, extreme weather, and oppressive heat blanketing the globe. But its effects on our very brains constitute a public-health crisis that has gone largely unreported. Based on seven years of research, this book by the award-winning journalist and trained neuroscientist Clayton Page Aldern, synthesizes the emerging neuroscience, psychology, and behavioral economics of global warming and brain health. A masterpiece of literary journalism, this book shows readers how a changing environment is changing us today, from the inside out.

Very interesting book with a new perspective
Revisado: 05-07-24
I've read quite a few books and articles about climate change and its impacts, but this book was a really fresh and different approach I had not seen anywhere else. The author is very creative in how he presents the ideas and his style is entertaining and draws you in, which is not easy with a topic like this. His narration is also easy to listen to, and i will likely listen to it again some time soon since there is quite a bit to absorb in here.

Historia
In 2017, a routine network television investigation led to a story only whispered about: one of Hollywood’s most powerful producers was a predator, protected by fear, wealth, and a conspiracy of silence. As Farrow drew closer to the truth, shadowy operatives, from high-priced lawyers to elite war-hardened spies, mounted a secret campaign of intimidation, threatening his career, following his every move, and weaponizing an account of abuse in his own family.

Eye-opening story
Revisado: 01-21-20
I could not believe the things that were going on behind the scenes that this book exposed. The author is not afraid to name names and tell the story. I couldn’t put it down, and the audio version was very good and included a little bit of actual audio recordings from the reporting which really makes the point that this is a true story.

Even with all the technical terms I was able to follow the concepts and the stories really helped a lay person like me realize big changes are coming and motivated me to make some changes in my life. Everyone should read this book.
