Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Painful to slog through
Revisado: 08-21-20
This is one of the rare few books that I absolutely CANNOT finish. 95% of the dialog is Edward saying how he feels the urge to kill Bella. I'm halfway through the second portion of the download, and I've struggled to listen to this book since the first chapter. No more, please and thank you. The entire book could have been summed up in a chapter or less. It's been dragged out FAR too much.

Historia
It's been a year since Eragon departed Alagaësia in search of the perfect home to train a new generation of Dragon Riders. Now, he is struggling with an endless sea of tasks: constructing a vast dragonhold, wrangling with suppliers, guarding dragon eggs, and dealing with belligerent Urgals and haughty elves. Then a vision from the Eldunarí, unexpected visitors, and an exciting Urgal legend offer a much-needed distraction and a new perspective. This volume features three original stories set in Alagaësia, interspersed with scenes from Eragon's own unfolding adventure.

A wonderful return
Revisado: 03-28-19
This book was wonderful to listen to. A truly beautiful way to return to the world of Eragon in a way that is quite unique. I was, at first, expecting this tale to be on the same level as the Inheritance tetralogy, but it is different and in it's own way, a much better continuation to the series. There is no new super villain, as many continuations of series often involves. Rather, you get a look into the life of Eragon and Saphira post epic battle. It is not a life full of action, but rather their acclimation to a (currently) less exciting, but no less important, series of tasks. The three tales contained within are artfully written, and help expand the world of Alagaesia to more than just our hero's points of views. After the end of any great series, I often find myself yearning for greater depth and understanding of the world I have just left behind. This book is exactly that. It is not what I hoped for, it is BETTER.

An easy read! Plenty of action and a unique genre!
Revisado: 07-05-18
I loved this book from start to finish! It reads very well, and I've listened through three times already as I work. :) It is fast paced and quick moving, no slogging through chapter after chapter of excruciating details that quickly slip the mind due to sheer volume. The author, Erin, brings you on a whirlwind journey of change. The speed of events gives you a realistic perspective of what it must be like to have your world turned upside down from one day to the next for our protagonists. The narrator, Lianna, gives a spectacular performance, exerpertly articulating a wide range of vocals and attitudes that give each character the vibrancy they deserve. I would have loved the story to have been longer, so I could spend more time submerged in this fantasy world hidden in plain site!

Historia
Tim and his friends find out the hard way that you shouldn't question the game master, and you shouldn't make fun of his cape. One minute, they're drinking away the dreariness of their lives, escaping into a fantasy game and laughing their asses off. The next minute, they're in a horse-drawn cart surrounded by soldiers pointing crossbows at them.

A critical success of a story!
Revisado: 12-21-17
I am a huge fan of this genre of storytelling, and this book is now at the top of my list! Witty, clever, well timed and peppered with a spot on amount of blatant profanity. I feel like I am right there with the characters! A great read, looking forward to the remaining books now.
