Historia
Long acknowledged as a master of nightmarish vision, H.P. Lovecraft established the genuineness and dignity of his own pioneering fiction in 1931 with his quintessential work of supernatural horror, At the Mountains of Madness. The deliberately told and increasingly chilling recollection of an Antarctic expedition's uncanny discoveries—and their encounter with an untold menace in the ruins of a lost civilization—is a milestone of macabre literature.

Waste of Time
Revisado: 11-08-22
What a litany of idiotic reiterations of an epically banal, insipid and truly boring narrative. No exciting moments and a monotony of nonsensical descriptions of an impossibly stupid tale.
A root canal would be less painful and more satisfying than this pathetic idiocy. At least your teeth will thank you!!!’

Historia
Full of illuminating anecdotes drawn from memoirs, correspondence, and government documents, The British in India weaves a rich tapestry of the everyday experiences of the Britons who found themselves in “the jewel in the crown” of the British Empire. David Gilmour captures the substance and texture of their work, home, and social lives, and illustrates how these transformed across the several centuries of British presence and rule in the subcontinent, from the East India Company’s first trading station in 1615 to the twilight of the Raj and Partition and Independence in 1947.

Pathetic!!!
Revisado: 03-30-19
What a piece of garbage indeed. Seems to have been written by a mindless, confuse and disorganized hippie in the grips of some really harsh hallucinogen or just bad gin. And then you are subjected to avalanche of incessant and immensely annoying footnotes which seem to emerge from a miasma of disconnected narratives....oh God....how awful it all was.
You’ll have a better time in a local bar then subject yourself to this audio abuse!!!!

Historia

Burring!!!
Revisado: 09-09-18
What a banal, pathetic and boring story. Charles Dickens famous book would be excellent reading after you have read all books that were interesting and exciting. I was forced to read this anemic and effete novel in High School and, even then, I thought it was a last option, waste-my-time effort. Now, and much older, I can appreciate how boring and uninteresting and jejune the book really is.
I would recommend anyone who wishes to read this pathetic book to watch Any Loony Tunes cartoon in order to get more inspiration and feel good and optimistic. I went thru this torment in High School and reject it again.
Charles Dickens and his “famous book” so totally sucks that I would like my money back

Historia

A Spectacular Triumph
Revisado: 06-21-18
This is a remarkable book which is not only immensely informative but delightfully entertaining and impossible to to stop listening.
The story is detailed and quite thorough despite the monumental scope of the epic told in snapshots of personages, places and events.
The writer does away with the modern liberal apologetic and insincere efforts to denigrate the Conquistadors and tells the story in a balanced and equitable manner. He reports the events as they were chronicled and offers historical and archeological evidence.
He portrays the Spaniard’s behavior, efforts and achievements in the true context of their time and tells the good and the bad. Some were evil, corrupt, sanguinary and cruel, driven by greed and blind ambitions and infected by the treasure seeking virus of the time. He has no hesitation in naming and exposes the many malefactors. However, many ,if not most of the Spaniards were good, rational and brave men and women who build a new and far more civilized world in the discovered savage continent they found, explored and colonized.
As for the Indians in the new world, he is not afraid to report how they truly lived and died. Most of the native Pan-American people lived in a state of perpetual and internecine wars among each other with imposed slavery, cruelty, revenge and abominable barbaric and satanic practices of human sacrifice by the tens of thousands and many enjoyed cannibalism in an epic scale. They were not the innocent, benevolent and gentle people that the apologetic liberal writers try to inculcate snd inject in their writings as they attempt to revise history with theirs lies. The bestial practices of the Incas, Aztecs and so many other nations truly make anyone with an iota of common sense shudder with disgust.
Kudos to Mr Esparza for offering this extraordinary epic story in such a brilliant, exciting and informative work. This book belongs in the library of people who enjoy a good story and appreciate honesty.
The book and audiobook is magnificent !!!

Historia
It is the last decade of the 19th century. The Wild West has been tamed and its fierce, independent and often violent larger-than-life figures – gun-toting wanderers, trappers, prospectors, Indian fighters, cowboys, and lawmen –are now victims of their own success. They are heroes who’ve outlived their usefulness.
