Too Broad a Brush

Although there are a lot of valid criticisms of clearly problematic areas, it paints with too broad a brush. For every example that the author notes, there is a church that is not a cessationist church but does follow the scriptures for biblical guidance in these things with order and reverence. I don't say that the examples he has given do not exist, I know they do, and it saddens me.
But if you listen to this book you would believe every single church outside of the authors denomination was like this, and this just is not so. If you listen to this book, please do not assume all are the way this author paints them to be. This is more of an attack than a critical look. And paints the good with the same brush he paints the bad. There are false teachers and false doctrine out there. But this is like combating the weeds in a strawberry garden by plowing up everything in the garden, including the strawberries. I regret buying this one.

Wonderful Book but Narrator not so much

The book itself I would highly recommend. Enriching and eye opening. There is almost no emotion in the narrtors voice however. Just flat tone, pauses in strange places. slow cadance. Made it impossible to lidten to so I bought myself a hard copy of the book

Absolutely excellent podcast for anyone who is on WW or who is thinking about WW. Keeps it real, and knows what he’s talking about because he lives it. Definitely worth your time to listen.
