Historia
Few people knew America's comic sweetheart Lucille Ball the way Lee Tannen did. Lee first met Lucy as a child but cemented their close and enduring friendship as an adult. During the last 10 years of Lucy's life - years mostly lived out of the spotlight and mainly around a backgammon table in New York; Beverly Hills; Snowmass, Colorado; and Palm Springs - Lee was fortunate enough to be sitting opposite Lucy.

I Just Loved Lucy
Revisado: 02-09-14
I found this book so addictive, couldn't stop listening. Amazing insight into a wonderful star, she certainly wasn't who I thought she was. The narration was fabulous. Lucy was a mixture of an inconsiderate person and a wonderfully kind person. I would recommend this book to anyone who remembers Lucy and Ricky Ricardo.

Debbie shouldn't have narrated her own book
Revisado: 02-09-14
I am very sorry to criticise such a wonderful star but her narrating is just woeful. It sounds like she has had a stroke; her pauses are all in the wrong place. She pauses like there's a full stop and then she continues on with that sentence. Pretty poor. I haven't been able to finish the book it's that bad.

Historia
It’s 19 September, 2010, and 21-year-old Rachel Lee has emerged from Los Angeles Superior Court, having just been sentenced to four years behind bars. A few months earlier, she had been running the Bling Ring: a gang of rich, beautiful, wild-living Valley teens who idolised celebrity, designer labels, and luxury brands, who, in 2009, became the most audacious thieves in recent Hollywood history.

Very disappointing
Revisado: 01-11-14
The narration of this book was very disappointing. The narrator's punctuation was all over the place; she would pause and you would think you were starting another sentence and then she would continue with the line she had just paused from. Extremely disjointed and very difficult to listen to.
I cannot recommend this book at all.

Billy Crystal is 65, and he's not happy about it. With his trademark wit and heart, he outlines the absurdities and challenges that come with growing old, from insomnia to memory loss to leaving dinners with half your meal on your shirt. In humorous chapters like "Buying the Plot" and "Nodding Off," Crystal not only catalogues his physical gripes, but offers a road map to his 77 million fellow baby boomers who are arriving at this milestone age with him. He also looks back at the most powerful and memorable moments of his long and storied life.

This is absolute magic
Revisado: 09-21-13
What a way to listen to an autobiography - told by the author himself. And when the author is brilliant comedian Billy Crystal, I was hooked from the first few words. I actually laughed out loud at some of the narrative, fortunately I was listening at home.
Billy, I have always loved your work; now I know a bit about behind the scenes I admire you even more.

Don't be put off by the length, this is fantastic.
Revisado: 03-06-13
I loved this book, couldn't wait to get back to it every time I got in the car; I discovered things about the South and the North that I had never considered before as being relevant; that is, friends who have shared a lifetime of experiences together at West Point, families growing up, sharing holidays together, suddenly confronted with this huge difference in morality. The southerners can't see the problem and want the north to just butt out and mind their own business, the northerners are outraged by the human misery. I found the narration perfect, the inflections in all the right places. I couldn't wait to get to the end to see what happened to their families.

Historia
The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio's back lot - searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.

Historia
May 1992, and after four LAPD officers were acquitted after the savage beating of Rodney King, Los Angeles is ablaze. As looting and burning take over the city, law and order are swept away in a tidal wave of violence. But under threat of their lives, homicide detectives like Harry Bosch are still stubbornly trying to do their job. With no effective police presence on the streets, murder just got a whole lot easier - and investigating them got a whole lot harder.

In late October 1846, the last wagon train of that year's westward migration stopped overnight before resuming its arduous climb over the Sierra Nevada Mountains, unaware that a fearsome storm was gathering force. After months of grueling travel, the 81 men, women and children would be trapped for a brutal winter with little food and only primitive shelter. The conclusion is known: by spring of the next year, the Donner Party was synonymous with the most harrowing extremes of human survival.

Historia
Here is a gripping, behind-the-scenes look inside the classic suspense shocker Psycho - and the creative genius who revolutionized filmmaking. First released in 1960, Psycho altered the landscape of horror films forever. But just as compelling as the movie itself is the story behind it. Stephen Rebello brings to life the creation of one of Hollywood’s most iconic films, from the story of Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein, the real-life inspiration for the character of Norman Bates, to Hitchcock’s groundbreaking achievements in cinematography, sound, editing, and promotion.
