I loved this just as much the second time. The characters, the EMOTIONS, the banter - all wrapped up in a holiday package make this book extra special. I found every single character so relatable and the family dynamics were real and raw but still managed a hilarious level of banter, especially among the siblings. I loved the way this story was written with flashbacks to the past but not a full dual timeline. My heart was so full while reading this - the swoon of the MCs rekindling relationship, the sibling dynamics both good and bad, the supportive parents all tied with a nostalgic holiday bow. Kate Stewart is a genius.

I absolutely loved the duet performance by Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden. They brought amazing levels of emotion and their voices matched the characters so seamlessly. Definitely recommend on audio!

I mostly finished this series because I just needed to complete it. This was fine - instalove but great holiday vibes and some sweet moments of swoon. I liked that the FMC was a comic strip artist! I think spice in a 60 page story is just frustrating for me. By nature of the number of pages, the spice to plot ratio is going to go up with even just one scene. I was annoyed with how the MCs fell into bed together but they redeemed it with some sweetness and depth after. Obviously, this is a personal preference and won’t bother some! Fun holiday vibes.

Ruby Corazon did a fine job bringing this book to life. I didn’t have any complaints and enjoyed her accents.

Yay! I enjoyed this one! Instalove but in a fun way that I didn’t mind. I loved their meet cute and subsequent interactions. The series of unfortunate events that brought them together were funny and festive! I thought their connection was believable and their banter made me smile. The one spicy scene felt a little long and explicit considering this whole book is 58 pages but overall I had a great time with this one! I’d definitely be interested in checking out more books by this author.

•My Thoughts•
This was entertaining and quick which is much of the draw for these short novellas. I wasn’t particularly attached to either of the characters and found the FMC a little annoying. The amount of time we spent in flashbacks, should have helped me know the characters better but it didn’t. I felt like it just highlighted that she was his older sister’s best friend and acted like an older sister to him for most of their childhood. A 2.5 year age gap is nothing but it felt bigger. I still have so many questions but I was happy they got their HEA!
Narration Notes:
I thought Vivienne LaRue did a great job with both of the male and female voices. She was pleasant to listen to and I have no complaints! Very good performance.

I’ve read this book a few times over the years and loved it. When I saw MZ released a redone audio version I rannnnn and YOU GUYS, it was AMAZING. The performances by Kyla Garcia and PJ Ochlan were unbelievable and brought the book to life! Kulti is written in single POV but they performed this in duet with PJ doing all the male dialogue. It absolutely added an extra dimension to this and made if alllllmost feel like dual POV. The accents in this book would be challenging for any narrator but these two absolutely killed it. Do you know how difficult it is to make a German accent sexy (At least in my opinion 😅) and he did it!!
The story was lovely as I expected. I loved the soccer with forbidden aspects since he was her coach and quite a bit older (27 and 39). MZ’s slow burn has quite a reputation and I think I love it so much because the characters have no choice but to develop their relationship and the reader is along for the journey. The emotional relationship is always my favorite part of a story and our MCs delivered on all aspects both deep and light. Their banter, name calling turned nicknames and the grumpiest of grumps who falls so unexpectedly make this a fabulous read. I definitely recommend in any form but absolutely recommend the audio!!
