The machine races demand a turn at the job, but the organics refuse to allow it. For more than a century, the Galactics have battled for supreme power. Revisado: 07-08-24
The evolution of the characters. How funny and amazing the McGill creature is. My favorite character ever, I got to say. And the voice acting, oh my God. I hope to still be reading this when we hit number 100. There is just so much that this universe and story can do. And I have not been disappointed yet.

Historia
Rigel is a thousand lightyears farther from the Core Worlds than Earth, so they suffer the first attacks. The mood at Central is jubilant. Our greatest rival is falling—now is the time to strike while they’re weak! Legion Varus is deployed to Jungle World, a vital planet deep in Rigellian territory. Our foes, fighting on two fronts, are driven back with ease. But one man questions the wisdom of this move. Should Earth expand with greed, aiding new monsters from the Galactic Rim? That lone voice of reason comes from James McGill.

So the narration gets better in this one, none of the mouth noises from previous books. Storywise, the characters and their relationships get deeper, and the overall story arch starts really getting flushed out. Great listen!

Historia
The Winter Queen of Faerie has manipulated Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden into accepting a case to solve a murder and stop a war between the courts of Summer and Winter that could have literally earth shattering consequences. His own soul is up for grabs. Dresden must dig deep to discover that at time a willingness to accept a little help from your friends, be they a cub pack of werewolves, old loves in sheep's clothing, or a battalion of pizza loving dewdrop fairies, is a very good thing.

This story continues to intrigue
Revisado: 01-08-23
A lot of extended series get stale and repetitive, but this one has multiple storylines that just keep getting more intriguing. I love how the characters’ relationships have developed to a point that their interactions and treatment of each other have evolved.

Historia
The Merry Band of Pirates offered the bad guys a ceasefire. We won’t mess with them, if they don’t mess with us. Easy, right? No. The aliens chose to do things the hard way. So, the Pirates are racing around the galaxy to clean up the threat to Earth. The infant UN Navy has their own mission with the Alien Legion: Get humanity some allies in the fight. And the Ethics & Compliance Office might have to do something...ethical. Unless they can find a way around it.

Revisado: 08-23-22
There was a period of books in there where the stories were feeling repetitive. However, having got this far it’s understandable what the story arc is. The combination of multiple threads and characters back into a single story line gives plenty of different interests to follow. And the vocal work is masterful as always.

Incredible story but parts of chapter intros are cut off
Revisado: 05-16-22
I absolutely loved this story. This particular book, though, kept having parts of the chapter introductions cut off. A real shame as I love the excerpts from the guide to the Tower, or the zealots’ readings.
