Historia
To sail the Broken Sea is to brave the most dangerous waters of Domhan. But that is just what Arthur Shield and Mikaia Goretusk will do. Following rumors of a powerful Elven Queen that might be able to get Mikaia home to Earth, the two gain passage on a pirate ship sailing these treacherous waters. Their journey grants them new allies, but also new dangers. While pursued by an ambitious Imperial admiral they flee through a gauntlet of challenges: God-infested islands, godless paladins, and an evil as old as the Broken Sea, and Domhan, itself.

This is the third book I've read from James and I must say his books are AWESOME! James dose an amazing job describing a battle in such detail you can see every swing of the sword and hear every crunch of bone. I'm giddy at the prospect of the potential that James has created within James stories (between the concept of traveling between worlds and the abilities of some of the characters I have no idea how far he could take it :D). I am really looking forward to a COUPLE of his sequels :P. can't wait to read more.

I enjoyed the way the author describes magic it comes off almost primal witch really adds depth to the world. I also really appreciated all the details with different country's customs, traditions, religions, etc. for instance the language barrier with Dan made for some pretty entertaining banter. I'd also like to note the the narrator did an amazing job with each voice I was thourouly impressed.
