Historia
Claire Bradford needed a wake-up call. What she didn't need was a tragic car accident. As a single mom and the owner of a successful bead shop, Claire leads a predictable life in Hope's Crossing, Colorado. So what if she has no time for romance? At least that's what she tells herself, especially when her best friend's sexy younger brother comes back to town as the new chief of police.

A Wonderful Combination of Mystery and Romance
Revisado: 06-12-21
I've really enjoyed reading Jacqueline Winspear's series of books about Maisey Dobbs. I like the references to historical events and weaving in the growth and development of Maisey as a person navigating her life as a working woman in the early 1900s. Sit back with a cup of tea, in a lovely garden, and enjoy being transported back in time. The narrator did an excellent job of representing the many characters that were presented in this book.

Thoroughly enjoying this series
Revisado: 06-06-21
I'm really enjoying the work of Jacqueline Winspear. Her main character, Maisie Dobbs, is living in a period of time in history that I find to be quite interesting . Her accuracy of information lends so much to the story she tells.

I'm really enjoying this series about the main character, Maisey Dobbs. Her relationship with her mentor and how she approaches the different cases that she is assigned, is creative and informative without being instructional in nature. I enjoy her interactions with others and the incorporation of how people behave.

I've been looking for a new historical fiction book that I can get lost in. I love the development of characters with peppering of Historical facts from England's perspective. The impact of war on soldiers is still relevant today. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. So find a comfortable spot, grab a cup of tea, sit back and get lost in the story!
